UROREC 8mg in Thailand?

Featured Replies

In my home country my specialist put me on Urorec 8mg for prostrate.

For me it works well.

Haven't been able to find it here so I take Silodosin 4mg morning and night.

Recently I had itchy skin so I stopped taking Silodosin and my multivitamin, to see if this was the problem and switched back to my remaining  Urorec tabs.

They seem to work better for me.

Anyone know where I can buy them in Thailand?

[I think itchy skin due to heat rash as lots of mozzie and have to rug up while working outside].

Urorec is silodosin.

Brands here are:

Urief

Sidory 4

I thought Urorec was extended release (ER) but I can't find any reference to that on the WWW.

So taking Urorec 8mg or 2 tablets of Urief 4mg is the same?

Just goes to show how the placebo effect works as I thought going from Urief to Urorec made a difference to me. 🙂

Maybe as Urorec is an 8mg capsule and I took it in the morning, but Urief is a 4mg tablet and I took one in the morning and one in the evening was the reason for me feeling the difference.

Yes, 4mg twice a day would be the equivalent to 8mg once a day. I am nto sure if Urorec is extended release, but its dose is once a day whereas the 4mg preparations dosage is one twice a day.

I can't think of any reason why the switch would cause the itchy skin you mention, unless you are allergic to one of the inactive ingredients.

More likely the itchy skin has another cause altogether.
