I just started social security.  Checking my benefit verification letter it does show my basic SSA benefit amount which is what I expected.  However it also lists my medicare premiums and states how my SSA benefits will be reduced by those premiums as they are paid automatically.  Now all is correct, but I do not like that now were I to present this letter as a source of income, my income would be less.  Now most gross incomes of any types can have various deductions such as taxes and such, but now somebody would know up front my gross SSA benefit is lower.  I was expecting a simple statement of my gross SSA as others seemed to have thought in various posts.  So just be aware that if you are going to need your SSA benefit statement for some income purpose, it may not quite be as high as you expect

Imm (Hua Hin) won't accept SS statement as income verification, or 1099, or any other statement from the USA, to my knowledge.
