An urban rewilding group is seeking the public’s views on the potential return of white storks to London as part of a project to see if the birds could make a home in the capital.

White storks could once be seen flying in Britain’s skies and building their huge nests on roofs and in trees, but they disappeared centuries ago as a breeding bird as a result of hunting and habitat loss.

Is this an attempt by the civic fathers to clone the Oldenburg Stork Correlation?

What about diversity, does London really need more white storks.

Couldn't they get some slightly browner storks from India or Asia?

 

have around 20 Storks fly over my house as a flock every night before it gets dark, they seem to spend the night in a big tree close to us then go off in the morning to do whatever storks do. 

 

It's quite a sight to see that many big birds flying at roof top height over the house, 

Sometimes very occasionally they will land in my pond and splash around for five minutes as well
