For Putin, an outbreak of peace means certain death.

Well done, people need to look at who is writing this article.

Bill Browder is a Jew who is wanted in Russia for tax evasion. His firm in Russia evaded 16.8 million USD in taxes.

Browder also bought shares illegally in order to influence Gazprom.

Browder has been convicted of fraud in Russia and was sentenced to 9 years in jail in absentia.

On 30 May 2018, Browder was arrested by Spanish police in Madrid on a Russian Interpol arrest warrant.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Browder

Browder is a known criminal and a convicted fraudster wanted in Russia.

You have to marvel at the shamelessness of these oligarchs. Not enough that they looted and stole the assets that belong to the Russian people, on top they think they can defame and insult the country.

Browder successfully lobbied for the enactment of the Magnitsky Act: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnitsky_Act

It prompted the production of The Magnitsky Act - Behind The Scenes (2016). One of the interesting points to note is the film maker initially set out to make a documentary that was sympathetic to Browder and his view of things. Along the way, Andrei Nekrasov reversed his position due to lies by Browder and so the documentary took a different turn.

Quote

The Magnitsky Act – Behind the Scenes is a Norwegian, internationally supported investigative documentary feature.

...

The film tells the story of how William (Bill) Browder, an American born investment consultant and manager of a fund trading in Russian energy companies' shares, invented a seminal narrative of Russian corruption and brutality.

...

The Magnitsky Act – Behind the Scenes explores the veracity of Browder's claims. Andrei Nekrasov, the film's director, started out by believing Browder, as did virtually all mainstream media of the world. At a closer look it turned out, however, that the company theft story was riddled with inconsistencies, and the whistleblower role had been falsely assigned to Magnitsky to reinforce the impression that the companies had been stolen by the people Magntisky had allegedly accused.

Browder's version of the events has, however, been universally accepted as true and indicative of total corruption and lawlessness Vladimir Putin presides over. As the Magnitsky narrative evolved over the years Browder started to claim that Putin personally had been motivated to target Magnitsky and him, Browder. The Russian state, Browder claims, has been covering up the crime because a part of the stolen 230 million was sent to Putin's friend, cellist Sergei Roldugin. This is one in the multitude of Browder's claims that is shown to be baseless in The Magnitsky Act - Behind the Scenes.

More than a million Russians have been killed or seriously wounded on the battlefields of Ukraine.

Fugazi pushed by the West to justify "one more weapons system", "one more sanction". The numbers are the other way around. 2.5 million Ukrainian KIA, about 110k Russians. Heck, so many Ukrainian deaths they don't want to take back their corpses from the Russians because they don't have money to pay the families.

Putin's popularity in Russia, according to Western sources, is 80+%. He'll do fine. The Kiev conman is another matter.

He forked his country by refusing the Istanbul peace deal in 2022. Millions dead, third of the population fled as refugees, quarter of territory lost (more to go), infrastructure devastated and the population living on Western dole. Zelensky is not going to die peacefully in his sleep surrounded by children and grandchildren.

It's very disappointing the Dail Mail gives convicted fraudsters and criminals like Bill Bowder a platform. Such a fine newspaper, sullied by such vile propaganda.

I saw that documentary.

Browder is basically an oligarch of the first hour, who looted the assets of the Russian people. Now he defames their leader, their system and just lies through his teeth. He has no shame at all basically, which is why he is so rich.

I saw it too.

The Magnitsky Act must have done a lot of damage to US/ Russia relations, perhaps ultimately fuelling some of the rabid, illogical anti-Putin (because Russia is Putin /sarc) comments on AN.

This is also said about Zelenskyy, at the hands of the Azov Brigade, who are a component of the Nazis Russia wish to remove as part of the de-Nazification of Ukraine. This is one of the objectives of the SMO.

You have links for the BS you are posting?

I don't buy that. He has survived many attempts to replace him and he always created some accidents for his opponents.

I think it's obvious that if Putin can't end this war by either clearly winning militarily or a settled end which he can't sell as a win for Russia, that he'd be in big trouble regarding his power, his wealth, and probably his life.

But if he succeeds in getting the surrender that he seeks, he would probably be fine. (But Russia will pay the price for generations regardless.)

So Putin is NOT going to ever accept any kind of deal that he can't sell as a win.

For Putin, an outbreak of peace means certain death. Like any gangster, he has only one hope of survival

More than a million Russians have been killed or seriously wounded on the battlefields of Ukraine. But there is one man who owes his life to the continuing slaughter.

For Vladimir Putin, an outbreak of peace means certain death – by assassination, overthrow and execution, or in an international prison cell as a war criminal.

The Russian president's only credible hope of survival in the gangster state he has himself created is to prolong the 'special military operation' in Ukraine or to win in such outrageously successful terms that he can turn his attention to other former client states, other victims.

Survival, after all, was Putin's objective in launching the invasion in 2022.

In his interminable ramblings about history, the Russian president makes great pretence that all of Ukraine – not just the eastern regions of Donbas, Donetsk and Crimea – is part of Russia's empire.

Articles by the Dailymail and other anti-Russia media aren't necessarily fact based - they are at best opinion and negative opinion at that.
I'm sure Russian President Putin is shaking in his boots.  (Not).  The British media and their "leaders" have a history of anti-Russian animosity (and hyperbole) stretching back to the 16th Century and peaking during The Great Game period during the 18th and 19th Centuries. But no one studies history.  They read a hit piece by The Dailymail and take it as Gospel.

Anti-semitic post. What has his faith go to do with things? Would you have remarked "Bill Browder is a Catholic/Protestant/Muslim/Hindu" etc?

I think not. His religion matters you you, and you associate that faith with financial criminality.

Do you want to talk about Zelensky's religion while you are at it.

I hope Admin take a closer look at this post of your, plus a few others.
