The European Union is set to adopt its 19th sanctions package against Russia in early September, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Von der Leyen stressed that as long as the war continues in Ukraine, Europe will maintain diplomatic and economic pressure on Russia. "We will continue to strengthen sanctions. Sick Gazan children arrive in London for urgent medical care
The Government is working “at pace” to bring sick and injured children from Gaza to the UK for urgent medical treatment, Downing Street has said. BBC reported that the first group of critically ill and injured Gazan children, said to be between 30 and 50 patients, will be arriving “in the coming weeks”. It is understood that the children will come from hospital with family members via a third country, where biometric data will be collected, and that some may enter the asylum system after completing treatment.
