So, the general population of Palestinians are starving?

That's not an answer to the yes/no question. 🙂

  • Hamas Propaganda at it's best. Taking the food away from there own people and then blaming Israel. And they allways find willing idiots to spead the lies.

  • So you’re claiming there’s no famine in Gaza? That’s not just ignorant, it’s obscene. The UN, the BBC, the World Food Programme, and over a hundred humanitarian organizations on the ground are all war

  • Yep...

Gaza is experiencing an unprecedented surge in acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) cases, with 110 diagnoses in the past three months compared to one or two annually in previous years.

The World Health Organisation and local medics attribute the rise in AFP, which causes muscle weakness and paralysis, to the destruction of Gaza's water treatment plants by Israel, leading to widespread water contamination.

The outbreak, primarily affecting children under 15, has resulted in at least nine deaths, and critical treatments like Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG) and plasma exchange are unavailable in the besieged enclave.

Famine is taking place in Gaza - just a short drive away from hundreds of trucks of aid sitting idly outside its borders.

The trucks are looted before the pallets of food can reach the intended recipients.  Statistics from the United Nations Office for Project Services' (UNOPS)  Web site show that only 13.6% of the pallets dropped off at border crossings between May 19 and August 24 were delivered to Gazans.  The other 86.4% didn't reach the intended recipients.

The U.N. didn't try to deliver all the pallets that had been offloaded.  Of the attempted deliveries, only 15.5% made it to the intended recipients.  The remainder were "intercepted either peacefully by hungry people or forcefully armed actions during transit in Gaza," according to the U.N. aby weight, only 11.4% of the pallets were delivered.

The U.N. doesn't give any indication of what percentages were "peacefully" intercepted as opposed to "forcefully" intercepted, although I have no idea how you could "peacefully" loot a truck.  The U.N.doesn't say who is behind the "armed actions."

These are the U.N.'s own figures, not from the IDF or other Israeli sources.   https://app.un2720.org/tracking#

A note  on the "offloaded" page says:  "Trucks on the Gaza side of the Kerem Shalom/Karem Abu Salem and Erez West/Zikim crossings are typically smaller than those arriving from the Israeli side. As a result, the number of trucks reaching the crossings does not correspond directly to the number collected on the Gaza side."

Israel needs to let in all the UN  trucks required as they did prior March so there aren't hungry, desperate people prepared to risk life and limb to obtain food.

More crimes against humanity committed by Israel? 🙂

Or were Hamas operatives using scuba gear to hide under the water then pop up to have a shot with a songkran water-pistol?

Looting occurred before March of this year:

From November, 2024:

Here's what happened in Gaza after biggest looting of U.N. food aid in recent memory

Armed gangs attacked a convoy of more than 100 trucks of United Nations food aid, as humanitarian groups call on Israel to do more to secure aid routes and as people across Gaza go hungry.

Out of 109 trucks in the convoy, 98 were lost, according the report.

From December, 2024

Organized Looting Throws Gaza Deeper Into Chaos

Gangs are filling a power vacuum left by Israel in some parts of southern Gaza, hijacking desperately needed aid for Palestinian residents.

Extraordinarily effective Hamas propaganda has delegitimized Israel's right of self-defense by confirming for a world that scorns Israel that its demon is engaged in genocide.

GENEVA (Reuters) -More food aid is reaching Gaza but it still remains far from enough to prevent widespread starvation, the head of the World Food Programme (WFP) told Reuters on Thursday.

"We're getting a little bit more food in. We're moving in the right direction ... but it's not nearly enough to do what we need to do to make sure that people are not malnourished and not starving," WFP Executive Director Cindy McCain told Reuters in an interview via video link from Jerusalem.

McCain said the WFP is now able to deliver about 100 aid trucks per day into Gaza, but this figure still falls far short of the 600 trucks that were entering daily during the ceasefire.

Modest food aid increase not enough to stop starvation in Gaza, says World Food Programme chief

Do you seriously believe that the UN, Oxfam and almost every human rights organization is bribed by Hamas.

A resistance group, that cannot even afford some modern rockets or weapons, let alone tanks or jets?

Is there no other possible explanation for that in your universe?

They may not be bribed but the majority of food that is delivered into Gaza is taken by Hamas. The UN recently stated that they saw lorry loads of food being taken by Hamas.

Research groups Forensic Architecture and the World Peace Foundation have published a report titled The Architecture of Genocidal Starvation in Gaza, which found Israel to have used aid distribution to displace and starve Palestinians in Gaza.

Maps by Forensic Architecture show that three of the four existing ration stations are located in a military zone in the south of Gaza, and the other is located in a military zone in central Gaza. All ration stations are situated south of the fortified Netzarim Corridor, meaning Palestinians in the north of Gaza cannot access them.

.According to the report, some civilians have to walk up to six hours round-trip to collect aid from the ration stations. This issue is exacerbated by the fact that the stations are open for an average of just 23 minutes each day. From 19 June, the average fell to 10 minutes.

Israeli-backed aid in Gaza "deadly by design" according to Forensic Architecture report

The report also found that on the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation Facebook page, 60 per cent of announcements for the opening and closing of ration stations were made less than an hour before the station opening. Because of this, it argued, civilians are queuing overnight and camping closer to the stations, nearer militarised zones.

Will the UN guarantee that the vehicles will not be used  for the transport of military supplies? Unfortunately, that is what Hamas did  when the cargo was not verified.

No it's what the history shows. How do you think Hamas amassed an arsenal of rockets, mortars, grenades, drones, communication devices, automatic rifles, small arms and  their munitions?

The terrorist organisation Hamas  CAN indeed afford modern weapons and tanks and jets .

The only thing that stops Hamas receiving and using those weapons is Israel stopping those weapons from reaching Gaza .

Israel stops those weapons from reaching Hamas/Gaza by having a blockade on Gaza

Right, they were smuggled in on UN aid convoys. Time to get your head out of the sand and get real

Ok, maybe modern weaponry, but not tanks and jet fighters as strategically' they won't be able to keep them

before Israel will turn them into scape metal,

Also, if Hamas have all that cash to buy and smuggle that weaponry into Gaza, why not smuggle food then, giving the ''famine

and starvation there?

That is one of many Zionist propaganda lies to justify their starvation war crime.

And it could be easily debunked - no facts needed, just an unbiased mind with a neutral moral compass.

Think about it, Israel claims that Hamas steals the UN food, sells it overpriced to their own starving people and uses that money to buy weapons, right?

Then why not flood the place with food, so there is more than enough and no one needs to buy it from Hamas?

Oldest trick, economy lesson 1, if you want to destroy competition, which has a popular product, sell the same product for much cheaper until the competition is bankrupt. Dumping.

Would that not be better instead of letting that food rot in all those trucks waiting at the Gazan border? And less cruel?

Because Hamas and other armed groups would never allow enough food to get through to "flood" Gaza.  However many trucks were sent, these groups have the collective power to seize most, of not all, of them.

On AN, most of us, myself included, use Hamas as a convenient umbrella term for armed resistance to Israel.  In fact, many armed Palestinian groups exist in Gaza, all of which could hijack or loot trucks carrying aid.  Some of these groups are armed criminal clans driven by greed rather than ideology.

Sorry but this is just untrue.

Hamas or Palestinians NEVER restricted the delivery of food. It was Israel, the IDF or just some low life Israelis who stopped the trucks at the border and threw the food on the streets.

Israel has been calibrating hunger in Gaza since it was given back to Palestinians in 2006 or to quote a senior adviser to the then prime minister, Ehud Olmert "The idea is to put the Palestinians on a diet, but not to make them die of hunger."

An Israeli court ordered the release of documents showing the details of those macabre sums two years later, proving that Israel allowed only 2279 Calories per Person to make sure they get only the absolute minimum.

Only the thought of one country controlling the amount of food for the people of another country is sickening, yet this goes on for decades mostly unknown to the western world due to the silence or the silencing of western media.

But the starvation right now did not start with the war, it started with the total blockade since last May by Israel.

Famine.JPG.ee6109eb267920a5aa90a2f7675f95fa.JPG

If that "Hamas steals food" theory was true, and it is not much more than a theory as Israel has as usual not provided a single proof, why wasn`t there a famine before?

The famine in Gaza is man made, it was intentionally caused by Israel to facilitate their planned land robbery.

So their forever lie  "the people without land came to the land without people" might finally somehow come true.
