A 35-year-old fitness trainer is in critical condition after falling from a three-storey commercial building in Bangkok late night. Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident, which remains unclear.

The incident occurred at around 22.30 on 25 August in Soi Suksawat 62, Bang Mod, Thung Khru district. Officers from Rat Burana police station, along with volunteers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation, responded to the emergency call.

The victim, identified as Mr Atthawut, was found lying on the ground in a serious condition. He had sustained multiple injuries including head trauma, a broken left arm and leg, bleeding from the mouth and several lacerations. Rescue workers provided immediate first aid before rushing him to Bangpakok 1 Hospital.

According to his wife, Ms Tai, the trainer had often spoken about wanting to jump from a building after drinking alcohol. “This time he actually did it, even though I tried to stop him,” she told police.

His father, Mr Asda, said his son had phoned him shortly before the incident. He had then gone upstairs with his wife, before relatives heard shouting and a cry that he had jumped.

Police at the scene confirmed the fall was from a height of about 12 metres. While initial accounts suggest a possible attempted suicide, investigators have said the cause has not yet been determined. They will wait to question the victim once his condition improves.
