Five teenagers aged between 13 and 16 have been arrested in Kanchanaburi for allegedly stealing motorcycles in a string of late-night thefts.

The group, dubbed the “Milk Teeth Gang” because of their young age, was detained on 30 August by officers from Mueang Kanchanaburi Police Station after an investigation linked them to several motorcycle thefts in the area.

The suspects, all boys, were named only as Gus, 16, Pokpong, 14 and three 13-year-olds identified as Noe, Wen and Tae (surnames withheld for legal reasons). Police seized three motorcycles as evidence: a black and red Honda Wave 110 registered in Suphan Buri, a red Honda Wave 125 registered in Kanchanaburi and a black Honda Dream also registered in Kanchanaburi.

The arrests followed a report of a stolen black Honda PCX from Nong Bua fresh market in Mueang district. CCTV footage showed a group of youths wheeling the vehicle away. Detectives traced the suspects to the Taopoon community, where they were apprehended.

One stolen motorcycle was returned to its owner, while two others, believed to have been used during the thefts, were impounded.

All five have been charged with “night-time theft using a vehicle” and with receiving stolen goods. They are now being questioned by investigators to establish their motives before legal proceedings move forward.
