I think press and TV coverage distorts our perception of what things are like almost anywhere in the world.

 

Many Brits perception of the US is that the shootings and violence is a 24/7 situation on almost every city street.

 

If you went back to the UK you would be hard pressed to come across a demonstration without making a serious effort to find one.

Weren't you here when the yellow, red. pink, purple shirt madness was  underway?

Weren't those protests, with violence including arson,  and deaths enough to  warn you not to be complacent. Thailand is a pile of dry kindling ready to ignite,

13 years ago, they shot people on the street, remember? A few journalists was among them and killed by snipers. Snipers who never faced a trail
