You go to Immigration on Soi Suan Plau (off South Sathorn Road) and fill out TM.7 form with one photo 4x6 cm at the extension of stay counter. Pay 1,900 baht. Go to interview room with wife to complete process. Obtain 6 weeks extension. Come back in six weeks for extension of stay to your last arrival date (two months ago?). Do each year. If you travel out of Thailand obtain re-entry permit first at 1,000 baht or 3,800 for multi entry type.

You have to have 400k in bank account or letter from your embassy that you earn 40k per month or bank account book with copy of all pages, letter from bank manager that you have account with xxx funds written within a week of your application. Copy of wife id card and home register. Copy of your passport id page and most recent visa pages. Photos of you together at home. Birth certificate copy of child. All copies will need signature of person involved (joint accounts require both signatures). Copy of marriage certificate. Be sure to take originals with you

Most information will be provided by your wife as official fills out forms and you watch TV. Should only take an hour or so if not busy.
