True sadly, even more so with the most likely PM being a drug dealer.

Cannabis will make Thailand even softer. Remember it was was one of the drivers of the abject US defeat in Nam.

I'm surprised there are only five conditions that allow for medical cannabis prescriptions.

And I'm not sure smoking a medicine is healthy; is any other medicine consumed by burning plant material and inhaling the fumes? Oils, tinctures, and edibles are the preferred methods.

And these are completely different than the conditions listed in 2018, when medical cannabis was approved.

Conditions for Medical Use in 2018

Cancer
Nausea (often associated with chemotherapy)
Epilepsy
Neuropathic pain
Muscle spasticity

Cannabis rules in Thailand are dictated by which way the wind blows.

This idiot just won,t stop!   Time to light up for FUN ! Can I do that ?  Why are you not concerned about the government allowing more booze on the streets? Get a life dude! Your DAZE sorry days are numbered.

Just ignore him I always do!

New rules ????? Not laws I will remind everyone once again. This was NEVER voted on in government. And when they decide to fine someone for smoking . Under what new laws? Any lawyer would have this tossed out of court.

A real one is often free in many shops if you spend a certain threshold amount (1,000 baht, I've seen). But most shops I follow do not require a prescription.

Someone shared this information earlier. The cost is about 500 Baht for a one year medical cannabis card and around 200 to 300 Baht for the P.T. 33 medical certificate or prescription. The certificate is valid for 30 days and allows the purchase of up to 30 grams from a licensed shop. It seems the entire process can be completed online by uploading the required documents without needing to visit the clinic in person.
