Economists expect a major downward jobs revision from BLS tomorrow

 

Job growth has slowed dramatically in recent months, with the employers adding an average of 29,000 jobs each month from June through August, the most recent BLS data shows. 

Well, that is probably the future due to AI.  Why pay an analyst, accountant, statistician, etc when it can all be done by AI?  Jobs like health assistants or paralegals will no longer be needed.

It is what big companies want no big paid days, benefits, sick leave, vacation days, strikes.  Welcome to the new world glad I had a real job I liked for 35 years that will probably not exist in 10 years.

What do they mean anymore. These people have literally been hiring immigrants for decades so they could pay them $4.17 an hr under the table. They voted for the guy who openly and repeatedly and in no fewer words said that he was going to get rid of "those people". Now he's finally stuck to one of his campaign promises and they're upset???

I recall a poster here also from the SF Bay area who stated he tried being a picker and I LMAO.
