A man allegedly killed his neighbor's puppy at a Bangkok rental property while intoxicated. The incident is under investigation to determine the motive behind this act of animal cruelty.

The owner of the puppy, named Sumo, contacted the Watchdog Thailand Foundation (WDT) to seek justice. WDT has passed the case to the Don Mueang Police Station and is committed to overseeing the process until the suspect's arrest. Sumo, who reportedly did nothing to incite the attack, was beaten with a wooden clothes hanger, leading to severe head and mouth injuries.

WDT shared graphic images and videos of the incident on its Facebook page, highlighting the brutality of the attack. According to WDT, the suspect should be prosecuted under Section 358 of the Animal Cruelty Act, facing up to three years in prison, a fine of 60,000 baht, or both.

Don Mueang Police have yet to provide updates or confirm whether the suspect has been interviewed. The delay in communication raises concerns about the swift handling of such cases.

This incident is not isolated. In April, another case in Chon Buri saw a man arrested after a filmed incident showed him killing a puppy by swinging it against the ground. Although the suspect expressed remorse, he failed to disclose a motive. Meanwhile, a February case involved a man on Koh Samui caught throwing a puppy into the sea. The man later surrendered, claiming the puppy was unharmed.

Incidents like these have sparked calls for stricter enforcement of animal protection laws and greater public awareness. The investigation into Sumo's death aims to address justice for the affected and prevent future occurrences.

Hell has a spot reserved for the guy.

I doubt he'll get what he deserves in Bangkok, especially if he has any money.
