So let’s just put his prayers in context.

 

Before Governor Cox offered up his first prayer on the matter, the killer was already what Governor Cox referred to as ‘one of us’.

 

Divine intervention wasn’t going to change that.

 

 But the self proclaimed Christian Governor Cox wasn’t just praying for the killer not to be ‘one of us’ he was imploring the good lord to make him someone from another State or if it pleased the good lord, another country.

 

I suspect he’s not the only rightwinger who had similar hopes and prayers.

All is not lost.

 

Where God didn’t answer Governor Cox’s prayers, the rightwing have now pivoted to convert the killer, who is ‘one of us’ into ‘one of them’.
