A man fatally stabbed his friend and seriously injured his wife after discovering them in a sexual encounter, on 26 September 2025 in Phimai district, Nakhon Ratchasima province,. Police arrested the suspect at the scene with the weapon used in the attack. The incident occurred at a wooden shelter in front of the victim’s home.

 

The suspect, Mr. Prasong (49) and the deceased, Mr. Prakob (46), were reportedly work colleagues who frequently drank together. On the day of the incident, the three involved had been drinking since the afternoon. The suspect left briefly to buy alcohol and upon returning saw his wife, Ms. Toey (40), engaged in a sexual act with Mr. Prakob, prompting the attack.

 

According to relatives, the suspect and his wife had been in a relationship for about five months. They often drank together and argued, particularly when intoxicated. Mr. Prasong’s mother said she did not know Ms. Toey’s true background except that she came from the Poipet area.

 

A witness, Mr. Jaroon (44), said the three had been drinking at Mr. Prasong’s home before moving to Mr. Prakob’s house. He arrived later but did not stay long and heard shouting and saw the stabbing incident. He said he was unaware of any affair between the victim and the suspect’s wife.

 

Police charged Mr. Prasong with murder and grievous bodily harm. At the station, he admitted to the crime, saying he acted in a moment of uncontrollable rage. “I was overcome with anger when I saw them,” he told investigators, adding he did not plan the attack and apologised for his actions.

 

Mr. Prakob died at the scene from multiple stab wounds, while Ms. Toey was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Police are holding Mr. Prasong in custody pending a court hearing at Phimai District Court.
