On 30 September 2025 at around 10:30, officers from Nakhon Nayok Police and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit secured a possible TNT device found outside the Nakhon Nayok Skills Development Office in Pak Phli district. The device was located under a tree beside the office fence, prompting an urgent bomb disposal operation. No injuries were reported.

Security guard Mr. Sutharak Khemphhet discovered the suspicious plastic bag at about 10:00 during a routine patrol and reported it immediately. Earlier at 07:00, he had inspected the area and found nothing unusual. This marks the first such incident at the location.

EOD inspection revealed the bag contained two 1‑pound TNT explosives, two plastic detonator cases, a 4‑metre timed fuse and two aluminium detonators. The components were capable of immediate assembly, with a destructive radius of approximately 50 metres. Officers secured the device and took it for forensic examination, including latent fingerprint analysis, to identify the perpetrator. Officers have not confirmed if this was a credible explosive device.

Police investigation suggests the device may have been deliberately abandoned due to fear of detection, as the site is only about three kilometres from the permanent checkpoint of Pak Phli Police Station. Officers are reviewing CCTV footage from surrounding areas to trace the individual responsible.

The incident raises concerns over security around government offices in the region. Authorities stress the importance of vigilance and swift reporting of suspicious items. Local residents and office staff have been informed of the situation and advised to remain alert.

Police confirmed the investigation is ongoing and pledged to bring those responsible to justice. CCTV footage analysis is expected to provide crucial evidence in identifying the suspect. No motive has been confirmed beyond the preliminary theory of possible avoidance of police detection.
