We're all part virus

Featured Replies

I feel so sorry for the AN anti-virus mob!   Their sky is falling.

Our ancient past isn't always buried history. When it comes to our DNA, nearly 9% of the human genome is made up of leftover genetic material from ancient viruses (called endogenous retroviruses or ERVs) that infected our ancestors millions of years ago and became permanently integrated into our genetic code. In a new study published in the journal Nature, scientists have demonstrated that one piece of this viral junk is essential for the earliest stages of human life.

An infamous AN poster is right.... all we need to know is in Nature.

Had a decent read of the two essays. Was the 'methodology' hidden.

My take:

DNA has never been seen. The DNA 'double helix' is a theoretical construct; as are genes.

Viruses have never been shown to exist in nature. It is said they exist and convince many. Well! It's white-coat license to study nonsense. $$$. Although fraudulent IMO. Many white-coats say they do find them. But cannot produce any evidence.

There is lots of funding for this type of study. From both government and private organisations and charities.

Some of the group's work revolves around research into the CHARGE syndrome. It's speculated that some 70% of cases are due to BHD7 mutations. Which are said NOT to be inherited, but are mostly due to random occurrences.

I reject this explanation. It is theoretical and predictive computer programming, with no solid base whatsoever. Certainly with no physical entity to work with. IMO, the body does not make 'random' mistakes. It reacts/adapts to stress and stimuli. And at all times defends and protects.

Learning about nature is the antidote for these over-complicated - deliberately complicated - $$$ souls.
