A 19-year-old lady from Laos, referred to as Da, was attacked during a robbery at her Pattaya home on October 2. The incident occurred when an unidentified man forced his way into her residence around 4am, assaulting her and stealing her iPhone 15. The man initially pretended to need the toilet before shoving Da and dragging her to the bathroom, where a struggle ensued.

Da fought back, and the attacker kicked her before escaping with her phone, valued at approximately 26,000 baht. Before fleeing, the suspect locked Da inside her room, but her cries for help attracted neighbours who freed her. CCTV footage captured the man's actions, showing him as a medium-built individual in a yellow shirt with a blue collar, black trousers, and white flip-flops, carrying a large white backpack.

The victim immediately reported the attack to Pattaya City Police Station, providing the CCTV footage to authorities. Police have launched an investigation, focusing on identifying and locating the suspect using the video and descriptions from the scene. They are calling for public assistance, emphasizing the importance of community cooperation in catching the suspect and preventing further incidents.

Experts highlight the escalating safety concerns in Pattaya, urging residents to remain vigilant. Law enforcement is working tirelessly to resolve the case and assure the community of their commitment to safety. The suspect may face charges of attempted rape, physical assault, and theft upon capture.

Looking forward, police continue to urge anyone with information to step forward, aiming for a swift resolution. Authorities remain focused on apprehending the individual and restoring a sense of security among Pattaya residents.

As always, blame the victim.

I don't know about your door, but everywhere I have lived I don't know who is knocking until I open the door and look.
