Hi..

I'm an American Citizen - (California). I've been to Thailand several times in the past 12 months for short tourist visits, 7-10days.. always had a basic 30day visa stamped in my passport on arrival at Immigration Control. No problems. Never overstayed.

Next year I want to visit for about 2 months.. 60days... July & August as a tourist. I'll be happy to leave before the 60th day.

Could someone please tell me what I need to do to make this all legal and above-board? I'm SO confused with all the options, and opinions here :o ..! and I do NOT want to get any problems.... :D

Many thanks

Just apply for a normal tourist visa at the Royal Thai Consulate LA in May or June before you leave. That will allow you the full 60 days with no other action required. Be sure to count your arrival day as day one when making plans.
