How RFK Jr is filling the CDC with anti-vaxers, misinfo peddlers

Neither a physician nor a scientist, new CDC senior adviser Mark Blaxill claims without evidence that every child who takes vaccines is in some way injured

Sept. 26, 2025

"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has hired anti-vaccine activist and author Mark Blaxill as a senior adviser, according to three current and former senior CDC officials and an internal profile reviewed by MSNBC. Neither a physician nor a scientist, Blaxill claims without evidence that every child who takes vaccines is in some way injured, and has written books and articles promoting the disproven claim that childhood shots cause a broad range of health conditions and that autism is a consequence purely of environmental exposures. [emphasis added]

...

Blaxill’s quiet hiring is the latest in a series of staffing moves by Kennedy aimed at reshaping federal vaccine policy by ousting experts and installing former employees and longtime allies from the anti-vaccine movement.  “So Blaxill will join RFK Jr.’s inner circle,” said Dr. Paul Offit, director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, co-inventor of a rotavirus vaccine and a vocal critic of Kennedy. “These are people who believe what Kennedy believes, that want to to promote an agenda, that vaccines cause autism. And so Mark Blaxill will be perfect, right?” [emphasis added]

...

Kennedy’s principal deputy chief of staff, Stefanie Spear, previously worked for Children’s Health Defense, the anti-vaccine nonprofit Kennedy founded. In February, Stuart Burns, a former congressional aide and key ally of the anti-vaccine movement in the 1990s, was named senior adviser to the CDC director and has been managing Kennedy’s vaccine-related projects inside the agency. David Geier, an anti-vaccine researcher who alongside his physician father conducted experiments on autistic children, was hired in March to review vaccine safety data. In June, Lyn Redwood, a former president of Children’s Health Defense, joined the CDC’s Vaccine Safety Office with the title of “expert.” [emphasis added]

And what's the past connection between Kennedy and Blaxill?  Kennedy has previously touted a 2021 article co-authored by Blaxill on autism -- even though that report had been retracted by the journal where it was originally published after finding the article had had misrepresented information among other flaws.

This is who RFK Jr. is hiring into the CDC as one his senior advisers?  And this is what Kennedy has previously touted as his administration's commitment to "gold standard science"?

"The Publisher and the Editors-in-Chief are retracting this article. After publication concerns were raised with respect to the methodology used in this article. Post-publication review by a number of experts in the field has confirmed the following:

  • Misrepresentation of the incidence of autism and insufficient attention given to various other factors that might account for apparent changes in rates

  • Use of unrepresentative data

  • No valid justification for the mechanisms proposed for prevention

...

In addition, the Conflict of Interest statement does not accurately reflect the non-financial interests of the authors. The Editors-in Chief therefore no longer has confidence in the conclusions presented. Mark Blaxill, Toby Rogers and Cynthia Nevison disagree with this retraction.  [emphasis added]

Great News, thanks for posting it!

Good to be reminded of the slow but unstoppable progress by RFK jr in ridding the CDC of all the parasites and Yes-men/women that did conveniently (and lucratively) forgot what should be the core mission of the organization they belonged to.

David Geier, another of the anti-vaxer whack jobs hired by RFK Jr. into the CDC:

Vaccine skeptic hired to head federal study of immunizations and autism

A long-discredited researcher and vaccine skeptic will conduct a government study on whether vaccines cause autism.

March 25, 2025

"A vaccine skeptic who has long promoted false claims about the connection between immunizations and autism has been tapped by the federal government to conduct a critical study of possible links between the two, according to current and former federal health officials.

The Department of Health and Human Services has hired David Geier to conduct the analysis, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of retaliation. Geier and his father, Mark Geier, have published papers claiming vaccines increase the risk of autism, a theory that has been studied for decades and scientifically debunked. [emphasis added]

David Geier was disciplined by Maryland regulators more than a decade ago for practicing medicine without a license. ... It’s not clear how or why Geier, who is not a physician and has an undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore County, was chosen.

...

He was charged with practicing medicine without a license in May 2011, just weeks after his father’s license was suspended for allegedly putting autistic children at risk. The Maryland Board of Physicians said Geier worked with his father using a hormonal drug therapy for prostate cancer and early-onset puberty to treat autistic children. Autism experts say the treatment is unproven and based on the debunked link to mercury in vaccines."

April 22, 2025 letter from U.S. Sen. Margaret "Maggie" Wood Hassan to HHS Sec. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.:

Dear Secretary Kennedy:

"I write to express my grave concern regarding your decision to hire David Geier, a vaccine cynic and fraudster, to study a long-debunked theory that vaccines are linked to autism. Mr. Geier not only lacks any scientific qualifications, but he has a track record of harming children and manipulating data to fit his disproven conspiracy theories about vaccine safety. [emphasis added]

David Geier has directly endangered the lives of children, and he does not belong at a government agency that oversees the health of more than 70 million American children. David Geier was disciplined by the State of Maryland in 2012 for endangering children’s health by falsely diagnosing and treating medical conditions in children with autism without a medical license.

David Geier’s father, Dr. Mark Geier, was previously a doctor in Maryland and lost his medical license after parents reported that both Geiers were endangering children with autism by administering quack treatments that were not evidence-based. ... In other instances, David Geier – who has no medical license or scientific training – performed an ultrasound on a child, falsified medical diagnoses, and ordered more than 20 blood tests for a child.

...

To protect the health of children, and to abide by your stated goals of advancing gold-standard science, I urge you to terminate Mr. Geier’s employment."

E&C Democrats Investigate HHS Hiring of Anti-Science Conspiracy Theorist David Geier

Amid Widespread Health Funding Cuts, Committee Leaders Call Out RFK Jr. for Hiring a Widely Discredited Conspiracy Theorist to Lead a Large, Wasteful, and Redundant Study on Settled Science

April 10, 2025

"Energy and Commerce Committee Ranking Member Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), Health Subcommittee Ranking Member Diana DeGette (D-CO), and Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee Ranking Member Yvette D. Clarke (D-NY) wrote to Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Acting Director Dr. Susan Monarez demanding answers about their recent appointment of conspiracy theorist David Geier to spend taxpayer dollars studying the already discredited connection between vaccines and autism.

“We write to express our urgent concern with the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS’s) reported selection of a biased and discredited individual, Mr. David Geier, to lead a large, redundant, wasteful study retreading settled science on links between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder (ASD),” Pallone, DeGette, and Clarke wrote.

“Mr. Geier has been a central figure in a decades-long campaign of pushing falsehoods about vaccine safety, including a retracted study on the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine (MMR). Mr. Geier’s documented lapses in judgment, ethics, and expertise degrades the American people’s trust in reliable, science-based information to protect their public health.” [emphasis added]

The Democratic leaders blasted Geier’s lack of qualifications to conduct health research. ... He did not go to medical school and has no other medical training. Courts have called his claims about vaccines and autism ‘worthless’ and have dismissed him as ‘not qualified to serve as a consultant’ on medical issues pertaining to routine vaccine injury claims.”  [emphasis added]

Instead of David Geier the CDC should have hired Bill Gates, as Gates has all the 'needed' credentials on vaccine 'science'...

Mark Blaxill, another RFK Jr. appointee to a job at the CDC who's a card-carrying member of the RFK Jr. anti-vaxer looney tunes brigade:

Blaxill previously served as editor-at-large of the anti-vaccine website, Age of Autism."

And what's Age of Autism?

"Based on the consensus of science, the evidence is that vaccines are not linked to autism.

They also frequently reference other anti-vaccination sources, such as Children’s Health Defense, which routinely fails fact checks for false claims. In general, the Age of Autism often promotes false and misleading information regarding vaccines."

Conspiracy and pseudoscience -- sadly, RFK Jr.s new motto for the CDC.

Ah yes! 'The age of Autism'. Researched by Dan Olmsted and Mark Blaxill.

Just a short quote:

''Mercury; the most toxic, non-radioactive substance, known to man. Causes of autism examined. Data suggests, that if the current trend continues in the USA, by 2035, 50% of kids will be autistic.''

No wonder the Big Pharma $$$$$ sniffers didn't go a bundle on their book. Saying mercury is not good for the body! Dean me!

Just a note. I was on a panel in 1998 in Willesden, North West London, when I stated that putting poisons into vaccines to irritate the body was sowing bad seeds for future. I was speaking primarily about Mercury and Aluminum.

That 'mediabiasfactcheck' shower take the biscuit. Wolf, wolf!

Yep, two guys from the anti-vaxer movement who have just about zero credibility: "rejected the scientific consensus" and "unfounded theory" types:

I'll read this from the CDC, thanks:

Thimerosal and Vaccines

December 19, 2024

"Thimerosal is a mercury-based preservative that has been used for decades in the United States in multi-dose vials (vials containing more than one dose) of medicines and vaccines.

There is no evidence of harm caused by the low doses of thimerosal in vaccines, except for minor reactions like redness and swelling at the injection site. [emphasis added]

...

No connection with autism

Research does not show any link between thimerosal in vaccines and autism, a neurodevelopmental disorder. Many well conducted studies have concluded that thimerosal in vaccines does not contribute to the development of autism.135 Even after thimerosal was removed from almost all childhood vaccines, autism rates continued to increase, which is the opposite of what would be expected if thimerosal caused autism." [emphasis added]

Once Kennedy gets going, all compromised claptrap on the CDC www will have to be taken down and replaced by truths. But some have records of the nonsense they once promoted. That will all be handy when the trials begin.

Mercury replaced by aluminum?
