URGENT: I'm in urgent need of table-top gas stove (Rinniai?)

Featured Replies

Dear Folks,

I don't have much time left, and so, I am in urgent need of a good quality gas stove to cook my Thai curries, EFFORTLESSLY....

I like precision instruments, and I have, in the past, found that Rinnai has provided me with a good show, using their gas water heaters.

So, what might be the best option to have TWO single gas stoves.

The reason I prefer TWO gas stoves, instead of ONE single unit....is because I will be able to easily MOVE THEM AROUND....anytime I wish.

Also, anytime I feel that one large unit is too much for me, then I can put the second unit in storage......

Yes, this is why most people think I am a genius, just because I think ahead.

Still, I have very little experience with  purchasing stoves in Thailand.

Most of my experience has been in China, and Taiwan, not saying that Taiwan is a part of China, which it is NOT.....

So, here is what I am talking about:

image.png.800da7dc306deb2351d419cef501d100.png

I need.....HELP....!!!!

And, not psychotically.....or psyciatrically.....

RINNAI has always been a fairly respected brand in Taiwan, even though very few had even heard of the brand, thirty years ago, outside of Taiwan.

Then, as I recall, Rinnai began to set up factories in China, and the rest is history.

I know a LOT about Asia, something that most of you might find doubtful, yet it's true, Folks.....

But, what I do not have is recent experience with dynamite gas table single burners....

OR, does anyone think that I should buy a TWO BURNER stove, instead of the single burner one?

===========

Also, is there a better brand, compared to Rinnai, HERE in Thailand?

===============

The reason that this is URGENT is because I am waiting upon some good advice from you chefs, before putting in an order on Lazada...

So, thank you for your fast response, should you have a decided strong opinion.

Do you think I might get buyer's remorse by buying a RINNAI machine?

Anything better?

Waiting......

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Gamma

Note:  Of course, the pricing here is so cheap that one can almost certainly never go wrong, even if one were to make a mistake.

The above image is just for reference.

I do not care a tiddlywink for anything other than BTUs....of HEAT......

Sometimes, the burners are so teensy-weensy, that these kinds are GOOD FOR NOTHING.....if you know what I mean......

Just ask any female chef, if you do not believe me....

This one looks nice, but I bet there is a better one for the money.....any ideas.....???

By the way:  I like a burner which has no trouble putting about about 75,000 BTU of heat, at the turn of one's knob....

I lived in this hotel for years.

They all know me.....or....

They used to.

Just check out those stoves......

Madame Chiang knew what she was doing when she commissioned this hotel, and the kitchens, back in the day....

But then, what less would expect from a girl who attended.....Wesleyan Collage.....

She was such a beauty.....back then....

image.png.d687d3dbd143a4eb5a93e7857c9a5697.png

She did an AMAZING job creating the Grand Hotel....and....nobody can take this accomplishment from her.

Mr. Mao preferred her sister, but she was the better of the two.

image.png.129e1671588bdb4b45ea9941acb9680e.png

Yes, both sisters......

THEY WERE REALLY COOKING WITH GAS....

Back in the day.

I love GAS.......

So, anyway....If I do not hear from you guys soon....then....i will just go with Rinnai.....

image.png.3d09e84424319ab31d5ccbded0c23c2d.png

Not too shabby.....

image.png.e5104f5a0aed3d5e54e3069012d69d04.png

I like....very much.....

I will buy RINNAI.....and be HAPPY.....

Safe and GOOD.....but....which one.....I am asking...???

Thank you!!!!

  • Author

So anyway....

The RINNAI unit I am considering puts out about 18,000 BTU of heat from the two burners, combined.

BUT, I am NOT USED to cooking on any stove that does not release about BTU75,000....just to get the flavor I need.

Also, I asked Gemini about this key point.

Gemini explained the following to me.....

image.png.caaf206ec5ba408a2f008fa268cd13fc.png

This is basically what I had also thought....

When I cook with gas, I want instant heat, and I want it to be BIG TIME....at a moment's notice.

If you want to know why, then just watch the film Eat, Drink, Man & Woman, because this film is all about high-heat cooking.

This is the ONLY way to get the flavor out of life.

Still, given my limited budget on this project, I think I might just need to sacrifice my desires......

I am COMPLETELY OK with Rinnai, since I do know that this is a good brand, a very good brand......

I just wish I could afford.....

MORE HEAT.....

Kathleen Turner has MORE HEAT than any other actress of ALL TIME.   Bar None....

She had HEAT, about 2-million BTU per hour.....

I will just buy RINNAI, and be happy....

Great Brand, IMHO....

Thanks for the information.

I wish you every success on your odessy to find the perfect gas burner.

There seems to be a BIG DISCOUNT on a good model from RINNAI, at the moment.

I am sure I will be satisfied....but.....

NOT as satisfied as I might have been, back in the day, lying together with Turner.....

No doubt about it....

OK.

For what it is worth, and after doing some research, and since I have not heard other suggestions from the TV Peanut Gallery.....perhaps this information might be useful to others, and I hope that it might be.....

a. I think I will go with RINNAI, since I like the brand.

b. I posed the following PROMPT to Gemini, after various previous prompts:

image.png.b4737bfaeaba137ca29910bd7b537244.png

c. Gemini coughed up the following suggestion about what RENNAI to buy, given that there seems to be a rather deep discount at this present time, for one particular model:

image.png.1e8f5ae45321de590fee78bafaf0de2c.png

image.png.a684593a8c20103afc4826edb5610456.png

d. So, anyway, I am NOT JUST BLOWING SMOKE here.....

As soon as I submit this comment, then I will buy the unit which I found on the RINNAI website which seems to be selling at a deep discount.

I like GOOD STUFF.....

Buy Good....

Feel Good.

This is my everlasting Motto.....

I know I will have no buyer's remorse with this selection.

BUT, ....

If anyone can suggest a better deal,.....

Then, tell me now....

Because, I never cancel orders from reputable suppliers....

I believe doing so is just not morally right.....

Thank you...and.....

To my professional chef-friends out there in TV Land....

Happy Cooking.....!!!!!

You know, Folks.....

aa.  The SUREST way to attract a WOMAN-OF-QUALITY is to buy a High-Quality Stove.

Women love to cook.

Or, women of Quality, IMHO, love to cook for their Man.

bb. My Plan is to first buy a quality stove, and then advertise my kitchen on TV.

From my perspective, this is the best way to find a woman who is right for me.

cc.  Also, as soon as I get my new RENNAI stove, the VERY FIRST thing i want to cook....

Is THIS.....(She is American, but She thinks she is Thai.  This does not mean that she is not a great cook.....)

cc2.  I really don't mind that this young chef does not have a Thai accent.  She has a great way about her.

Still, I will try to find a woman, here locally, who can't speak English, to cook for me.

I have no doubt I will be able to find one, after I take delivery of my new RINNAI stove, which....I am so excited about.

I know that I will be happy now, having these TWO new additions to my kitchen....meaning....

1. The new stove

2. The new woman

3. One cannot live alone....FOREVER.....you know.....

===================

And, for dessert, I will have watermelon.....because....THIS IS THE WAY WE DO....before the end of the world, which is nigh, might I add.

So, anyway.....

I just purchased this stove......

And, no regrets, so far.

image.png.a005189e8e3a88d9a5757dcef4bfc31a.png

This is not my kitchen, of course.

Also, I do not plan to have any STICKERS on my new stove.

The  burners don't look very big, I mean.....

I am used to having a very BIG FLAME....in Taiwan.....

Still, I am sure this is a very good choice for me, now that I am older, and do not need that much heat.

Thailand is much warmer than Taiwan, during winters, for example.

==========

Also, a decent price.....as you can see.....

image.png.c942bf801c5233f658ca913d7a3372e1.png

No doubt, this stove will outlive me, as will my Samsung Fridge, with it's 21-year compressor warranty....or was that a 23-year warranty...I forget.

Soon, I will have Green Curry.....

(I just wonder what kind of gas I should use, and where it will come from.)

It's only just beginning....

Only just beginning.....

I will take delivery within 5 days.

Then, I will update.

This is a great stove, but I worry where I might find the gas......

The stove is already PACKED.....

I predict:  I will have the stove October 26.

Talk more about it then....OK?
