  • If you want a bit more performance and longevity, take a look at the HK1 RBox X50 at around 1450 baht. Around 300 baht more than it's predecessor, the X4, listed two posts earlier.

Buy what suits your need.

Contrary to the assertions of the previous poster, the TOX4 does have an official website. https://trustonx.com/product/tox4-4gb-ram-32gb-nand-rockchip-3528-media-player/

I paid just 1100 baht. But if you want more function, such as Netflix HD/4K support, the Kinhank G1 isn't a bad option, if it's available at 2400 baht. I wouldn't pay more than that for it.

I paid just 1100 baht, as that is all that I needed. It's not a high end device, since I didn't need a high end device. If you are running a media setup with High Bitrate 4k files, then get a better box. But I play and stream normal 4k media without issue.

Every box is manufactured in Asia, same as every phone is, otherwise it probably cost double

TOX4  - CPU is OK A53 but for very little more you can buy the A55. for me no need for high end A7 series

TOX4 -  DDR3   many are DDR 4 so much faster + higher end DDR 5

thinking as GDDR 7 is the current ultra high performance  guess will not be long before this comes standard

I already suggested the HK1 RBox X50 for something up to date. I mentioned the TOX 4 as something for which I paid just 1100 baht. I didn't spend weeks agonising over such a minor purchase.

I buy lots of boxes from a seller on Aliexpress called Solovox,

never had any issues

You said you were looking for a budget box, and would spend maximum 2500 baht.

2500 baht is the minimum budget for a 4GB DDR4 box, the same in DDR5 will cost you at least 6-7000 baht, and about GDDR7 you only can dream for now, and I doubt it will ever become standard.

Looks like posting in this thread is a waste of time
