The majority did but currently irrelevant.

He is President of the United States.   He won the popular and electoral vote.

I know it painful for you but try again in about 19 years.

Not at all.  A morale booster Get with the program or get the F—-out.   The days of worrying about hurting someone’s feelings are over.   Such a welcome relief from the WOKE, DEI

  • Interesting.....a well established theory suggests that a fear of beards stems from having been "orally abused" as child?

Disrespecting service members who are in compliance with regulations? In the Trump administration personal whims take priority over laws and regs.

Trump won 77,284,118 votes, or 49.8 percent of the votes cast for president. That is the second highest vote total in U.S. history, trailing only the 81,284,666 votes that Joe Biden won in 2020.

So, according to you, less than a majority constitutes a landslide?

I agree.

77 million eas

Along with over 300 electoral

No matter how hard you guys try to fudge the numbers.  Trump won and Trump is President.

Lets see.  After 8 years of Vance and 8 years of Rubio, maybe, just maybe Democrats could have a chance at winning.

Don’t count on it.

Your numbers to distract that Trump won are IRRELEVANT.

Trump won .  Period.  No further discussion needed.

Try again in 2040

So in your assessment the person with the least votes win. 77 million voted for Trump and 75 million voted for Harris. Harris wins. Let me just point out again 77 million out of 152 million is a majority.

Reports coming in of a massive outbreak of Pseudofolliculitis barbae.

Suggestions are that up to 90% of serving soldiers in SK have suddenly been hit by this condition

Let me just point out that in 2024 there were 264,798,961 US citizens of voting age, so 77 is FAR from a majority.

Means nothing in a country where voting is not compulsory. Only thing that matters is who ends up with the most votes. 77 million votes was the majority out of all votes cast. Not too difficult to understand.

Trust you not to acknowledge that you got it wrong. And thanks for your ludicrous definition of what constitutes a landslide.

It's okay, they can follow his awesome speeches on CNN.

Did you see the most recent one?

What an inspiring orator Hegseth is. Trump really picks the best of the best.

Yes.  77 million out of 152 million is a majority. Thanks for the arithmetic lesson. Now back to reality:

Unfortunately, that seems to be why Trump plucked him from Fox News. Nothing to do with his actual qualifications to run a huge department.

It's no wonder most people voted for Trump, he's just the better option.

Imagine if they'd elected Kamala, we'd basically have 4 more years of Biden plus ultra abortion policies.

Nobody wants that. They want Trump.

What has any of that got to do with running a huge organization like the Pentagon?

He commanded soldiers in a hostile battlefield in a far away country but he can't command soldiers in the plushy confines of the Pentagon in his own country?

Why not?

Recruitment is at record highs. Military is rebuilding again. DEI has been scrapped. Nothing I've seen to show that the Department of War is being run poorly. If you have some evidence to show counter to this please share it.

In the 19th Century, beards were common and even fashionable among soldiers and officers, especially during the Civil War. Many prominent military figures wore facial hair. In the early 20th Century beards began to be banned. The introduction of gas masks in World War I was a major turning point—beards interfered with the seal of the masks, making them ineffective. In World War II onward, clean-shaven standards became the norm across most branches, except for submariners and troops in cold climates, where shaving was impractical. Sikh service members have been granted waivers to wear beards for religious reasons. Special operations forces (like Green Berets and Navy SEALs) have worn beards while deployed.

Why should some military services be allowed to grow beards? E.g. Put a clean-shaven SEAL in Afghanistan and he will be in danger quickly.

Started shaving in the army at 17 and still shave every morning the same way today, 17 years later ;)

Well ok, sometimes I skip a day if i stay home all day anyways. I feel ashamed to go out without being shaved / showered / clean.

It's clear you don't see any important difference between commanding some soldiers in a battlefield and running a department that encompasses 3.4 million people? You should be writing cliched screenplays for Hollywood.

All previous chiefs at the Pentagon were soldiers. What are you on about?

It's clear you don't see any important difference between being an artillery colonel and then a failed haberdasher and running a country. You should try studying American history
