The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) announced initiatives to assist passengers traveling for Undas 2025 with food packs and ready-to-eat meals. Social Welfare Secretary Rex Gatchalian directed regional directors to prepare for the nationwide observance on November 1st and 2nd, ensuring help for families and individuals stranded while traveling.

In line with the directive, DSWD spokesperson Irene Dumlao confirmed that the department has prepositioned relief items, including family food packs and non-food items, at various ports and terminals. Dumlao emphasized the availability of sufficient resources to support stranded travelers. The Quick Response Teams (QRTs) across the country are also on standby to provide necessary support in case of emergencies.

The effort is part of a continuous preparation strategy by the DSWD to ensure that assistance is available during the busy holiday period. The QRTs are also tasked with aiding local government units needing additional support. “Our preparations have never stopped, even in time for Undas, to provide immediate assistance to our fellow Filipinos,” Dumlao stated.

Looking further, DSWD's proactive measures reflect an ongoing commitment to relief readiness during key holiday seasons. The department’s collaboration with local authorities highlights a strategic approach to managing potential travel disruptions and ensuring public safety.
