Vietnamese Party General Secretary Tô Lâm emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation with the UK during his official visit to London, marking a significant step in bilateral relations. Meeting with Robert Griffiths, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Britain (CPB), Lâm highlighted Việt Nam's eagerness to learn from the UK's experiences in policy development and national planning. This move is aimed at benefiting both countries and promoting global peace and stability.

 

Việt Nam has a history of valuing the UK's solidarity, especially during its fight for independence and ongoing national development. General Secretary Lâm proposed that the CPV and CPB explore theory exchange and collaborate on issues like workers’ rights and sustainable development. Additionally, he invited Griffiths to visit Việt Nam and suggested closer cooperation in promoting Việt Nam's foreign policy within the UK.

 

Griffiths acknowledged Lâm’s visit as a pivotal moment for enhancing traditional ties and praised Việt Nam’s socio-economic accomplishments. He reiterated the CPB's support in fostering stronger relations and emphasized the importance of promoting Vietnamese culture in the UK. The two leaders agreed to strengthen cooperation for mutual benefit and global peace.

 

Looking forward, the focus will be on deepening the partnership between the two nations through cultural exchange, policy collaboration, and international forums. The CPV and CPB aim to work closely to foster a robust partnership contributing to regional and global development.
