Lawyer for will covering worldwide assets

Featured Replies

Can anyone suggest a lawyer, preferably based in Bangkok, who could draft a Thai/English will to cover my worldwide assets.

Notes:
- I know it's usually recommended that one has separate wills for each jurisdiction, but my only non-Thai assets are brokerage accounts in the USA with IBKR.  IBKR has confirmed that a Thai will & probate will be acceptable to them.

- It'll be a lot cheaper and more convenient not having to deal with US lawyers & probate.  In fact, my previous multiple attempts to even contact Connecticut probate lawyers by email all failed.  Many of them employ geoblocking on their websites to keep non-Americans away.

- I have no connections to the USA other than my brokerage accounts.  I'm not an American.

- Ideally the Thai lawyer would be able to provide witnesses to my signatures and keep a copy in safe storage.

- The do-it-yourself approach is not appropriate given the complexity of some of my affairs.

Yup.  But the original question was asking for a suggestion/recommendation for a competent lawyer in Bangkok.
