Police Bust Modelling Ring Exploiting Schoolgirls

Police have dismantled a human trafficking syndicate that lured schoolgirls into prostitution under the guise of modelling jobs. In a nationwide operation codenamed “นางฟ้าจำแลง” (Transformed Angel), authorities arrested 11 suspects and rescued nine victims. The operation was led by the Police Cyber Taskforce, on November 3.

The suspects, including prime suspects Nattarika or "Mo Muay," 28 and Weerapol or "Mo Nui," 49, face multiple charges. These include human trafficking, procuring children for prostitution and obscenity. The group was apprehended in multiple locations across the country following extensive investigations.

Investigations revealed the ring used online job boards to recruit attractive secondary school students from Bangkok and its vicinity. They offered part-time work as restaurant PR staff or models to entice their targets. The suspects then coerced the girls into providing sexual services for 20,000 to 30,000 baht per session.

A secret Line group was used to arrange clients and manage the illegal operations. The ringleaders allegedly pocketed between 10,000 and 15,000 baht as a commission from each transaction. Weerapol was also accused of sexually assaulting the girls himself, falsely claiming he needed to "check their bodies" before assigning them to clients.

Following the gathering of evidence, a court approved arrest warrants for the 11 individuals. During interrogation, Nattarika and Weerapol confessed to all charges. Some of the other suspects admitted to procuring under-18 girls for the sex trade.

However, a number of the other accused denied the allegations. They claimed they were unaware of the girls' true ages. Police have proceeded to detain all suspects for further legal processing.

The case highlights ongoing concerns about the exploitation of minors through social media and online job offers. Police operations like this aim to disrupt sophisticated networks that target vulnerable young people. The successful bust demonstrates a continued focus on combating human trafficking.

Very disgusting.  Kudos to the officials for tracking this down

Epstein, Trump, Jean Luc Brunel all had modelling agencies. Straight out of the sexual predator's playbook.
