A 17-year-old boy died after losing control of his motorcycle during a street racing incident in Bangkok in the early hours of 8 November 2025. The teenager, identified as Mr. Prith, suffered a fatal head injury after being thrown from his bike on Theparak Road near Soi Theparak 46, in the Tha Raeng area of Bang Khen district. Emergency services confirmed the death at the scene, with the motorcycle found damaged nearby.

According to police, the crash occurred at around 01:00, when Mr. Prith was riding at the rear of a group of five to six motorcycles. Friends reported that the group, who live in Lam Luk Ka, Khlong 3 in Pathum Thani province, had been riding on local roads and began racing for speed, recording videos of the activity. Light rain was falling at the time and Mr. Prith braked suddenly to avoid a pickup truck ahead, causing his bike to skid and crash.

Witnesses and family members described the scene as tragic. Mr. Prith’s mother, upon seeing her son’s body, was overcome with grief, saying: “I warned my son not to go out, but he did not listen.” Police confirmed that the boy suffered a skull fracture and was lying in the middle of the road when they arrived.

Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and the videos taken by the group to establish the full circumstances of the crash. Investigators are collecting evidence to determine any potential legal violations related to the racing incident. No further arrests or charges have been reported.

I can only guess the warning came without any repercussions if he failed to do as told. No accountability for failing to do as told by parents. Although, it saddens me to read about the death of a child, the responsibility is laid fully on the family for failing to control their child's behavior. The mother will forever remember that she could have prevented this had she been more strict in her discipline towards the child as he grew up.

Had it been me. The child would not have been warned but rather been told he could not go out so late at night and in the rain.

Cobblers.

That's the reason why racing should be done on a racetrack, no oncoming traffic that can disturb you.
