Fireworks Festival

Featured Replies

Pattaya is going to organize a Fireworks Festival in less than 3 weeks but I can't find a program?
I know when it will start and end but who are the participants and what are the break times between the different program points, which are they???

Usually a lot of waffle going on before they get going about at 8.30-9pm

Each show is quite long  at 20 minutes or so and just half hour between each. It's pretty good. Only complaint is it has been really overcrowded in recent years and traffic, of course is horrendous.

After having been in Pattaya for the last two, I am getting the heck out of town this year.  It's a total gong show with crowds and traffic.  Traffic is pretty bad at the best of times these days, but this is orders of magnitude worse.

They tried some traffic control things last year but it was still total gridlock a lot of the time.  I would suggest people wanting to travel to ground zero to watch, to park very very far away.  Like Big C Extra, Big C south, or Lotus North at a minimum.

The traffic is so bad that even on a motorcycle you are stuck..I would only go if I was already living/staying in the Pattaya beach walking distance vicinity.

Same for New Years fireworks.

I wouldn't even consider taking a car anywhere west of Sukhumvit. On a scooter you can get a little closer.  I remember 3rd road being total gridlock for cars and scooters.  All the way from S Pattaya to Central Pattaya road.  Probably most of the way up to North Pattaya road too.

On 2nd road it was difficult to even walk.  People on scooters and cars where probably stuck there for the whole show and hours after.

I live out of town but my usual modus operandi is to book a hotel, arrive mid afternoon hopefully before traffic gets super silly, and park  up until just after breakfast the next day.
