Do you enjoy spending Christmas in Thailand?

Absolutely hate christmas back home.  In Thailand it's much more enjoable.  All the good parts about it, like giving presents and having fun.  None of the dumb religious stuff or any of the guilt trips about how you need to be with your family eating too much and being bored to death.

...Still better than eating an overpriced cheesecake in a shopping mall!

Try the alps.

It's amazing.

Eric.

Seen plenty of mts, and don't need the hassle of airports and misery of long flights to see more.  Days of air travel are way behind me, and never plan to set foot in another AC.

Looking pretty damn tasty, and 2X the size of most servings, so not completely silly priced.  Got to splurge every now & then.

Not as weird as eating a cheesecake in a shopping mall on Christmas day!!

Think about that for a second.

A lot of cakes are mostly air here, they weigh nothing.

But this was like a breeze block, incredibly dense. Bit pricey but it was Xmas day!

Most entertainment and festivities in BKK are in and around malls.

It was 45 mins of the day ...why you so upset? 😂

Eating a cheesecake in a shopping mall on christmas day is worse than working a 12 hour shift in a restaurant serving spoiled families.

Christmas trees, decorations and music already at the malls.  It is the season of joy and goodwill to all.

You think they soon will replace the Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2014 banners?

Spending vast hours of every day with forum fiction, literally wasting your life away is possibly a bit worse than really great cheesecake 😁

None of what I say is fiction.

In my opinion there is no Christmas atmosphere here however we do try and make the most of it including eating out in Fuji and Korean resteraunts great food and lovely girls, listening to Christmas songs by Frank Sinatra, Slade, Chris Rea, etc.

We always put a Christmas Tree up with lights and have presents.

We celebrate Norwegian Christmas on the 24th and UK Christmas on the 25th.

Why the Norwegians celebrate on the 24th instead of the 25th I have no Idea?

Happy Christmas to all Members and God Jul (happy christmas in Norwegian) to all Norwegians

I agree. I've had several of them here and it's really hard to get the feeling of the season when everyone else treats it as a normal day.

I'd overcharge you a thousand baht and I've never met you.

Central Bangkok is like a party! Live bands in the streets. Everyone in Santa outfits and red colours. Its more like new years eve in the daytime!

You do attract losers that ironically declare you're a loser.  Harison also attracts the same needy individuals.

It's the 24th in Europe. 25th in U.K and USA. 7th of January in Russia. 6th in Lebanon. So sometimes I have three. All with different kinds of food.

For me, it's just a reminder to be nice to everyone. Goodwill to all men. Don't get involved in the nonsensical commerciality of it. I guess the people who don't enjoy it, don't interact much with others.

For example, if you live in a big city in the West, you might not often speak to the people around you. Christmas would be a time to show a good side and greet the people around you more often. Hence, the season of goodwill.

That is Christmas, not silly Coca Cola commerciality.
