Got stuck at the lights on Sukhumvit / Pattaya Neua for ages twice before a convoy of police cars came through.

Apologies for the hold up, that was me. I had a hankering for a Cheap Charlie's Wednesday special and a paddle at the beach so was on a flying visit from Bangkok.

Thought it might have been stressed Eric and his ladyboy entourage.

Probably. I heard  few helicopters go over and that often means someone has paid us a visit.

The traffic stops are not as frequent as they used to be some years ago.

It was a rehearsal for a Royal Procession.

No idea when, as the (Thai) article did not mention it.

Yep I got stuck at motorway overpass in Phan Thong about 3.40PM as they travelled back to Bangkok.

It was for the King's daughter who is competing in an equestrian event in the area. She is staying at the Hilton Hotel, presumably with the rest of the Thai team.
