The body was found around 09:00, between Ban Duea Si Kan Chai and Ban Huai Saeng in Sri Wichai subdistrict, Wanon Niwat  District . Authorities in Sakon Nakhon are investigating the discovery of a charred body found in scrubland along Ban Duea–Huai Saeng Road, Sri Wichai Subdistrict, Wanon Niwat  District, on 20 November 2025. Police suspect the act was premeditated and involved multiple perpetrators, with the body deliberately set alight in a secluded location.

Initial inspections suggest the victim was burned while lying face down. Key evidence includes a university belt buckle, a coach jacket with the letter “B”, a Seiko wristwatch and a leg brace that may bear identifying numbers. Police have contacted the relevant university to check for missing persons and are examining hospital records to help identify the victim.

Investigators also found drug paraphernalia near the scene, which may indicate the perpetrators waited for the fire to consume the body fully. CCTV footage from 19 November and earlier is being reviewed to trace the suspects. Officers believe at least three people were involved due to the planning and execution required.

Matichon reported that police are appealing to the public to report missing family members or acquaintances, particularly those who have previously had leg braces fitted. Authorities have not ruled out any motives, including disputes over drugs, personal conflicts, or robbery, pending further investigation.
