A five-month-old infant was found unconscious and later died, at an unregistered daycare in Bueng Subdistrict, Sriracha District, Chonburi, on 20 November 2025. Emergency responders from the Phuey Yeang Tai Rescue Centre and Laem Chabang Hospital were called at around 16:00 and attempted CPR, but the child was confirmed dead upon arrival at the hospital. Authorities are investigating the cause of death.

The baby had been placed at the daycare by the parents three days prior. At the time of the incident, the caregiver was looking after four to five other children. According to reports, the infant was initially lying on their back, but when the caregiver looked again, the baby was face down and unresponsive, prompting immediate CPR efforts and a 1669 emergency call.

Officials visited the daycare, a three-storey commercial building, which had around four to five other children present. The facility displayed no official signage and it remains unclear whether it is licensed or regulated. The caregiver involved was a relative of the dead child’s family.

Naewna reported that police from Nong Kham Station have taken steps to summon those involved for questioning. Forensic teams will examine the circumstances to determine the precise cause of death as the investigation remains ongoing. Meanwhile, the child’s parents remain in deep grief and have declined to provide further details at this stage.

Every parents worst nightmare.......mine are all in their 40's now and I still lie awake at night worrying about them.

Babies need constant watch, which is why baby centers/ crèche often get closed down everywhere. A licence should be had and checks from council and health care workers. Many poor kids are ignored hours long  when lack of qualified staff. A baby can  turn over and suffocate, or choke, or many other awful things. I suppose only an autopsy could find the reason of death.

Chill out mate, they will be fine!

Seriously doubt any ill-intentions on the part of the caregiver, especially considering she was a relative of the family, extremely sad story, but I think jumping on the "guilty" bandwagon will not help a grieving family at this time, RIP little one.

Parent's

Now another reason I won't sleep tonight.

Parents left the baby there three days prior? Is that saying the baby had been there for three days?
