Chonburi immigration officers arrested 19 Indian nationals on 12 December 2025 after raiding a house in Nong Prue, Bang Lamung, where the group was allegedly operating as administrators selling illicit goods on foreign websites. The operation followed intelligence that a large number of foreign nationals had gathered at the property and were behaving suspiciously, prompting officers to cordon off and search the premises. The raid forms part of a wider push to curb illegal work by foreigners according to authorities.

The enforcement action stemmed from directives issued by Pol Maj Gen Songprod Sirisukha, Commander of Immigration Division 3, who ordered all immigration offices under his command to intensify action against foreign nationals working unlawfully. His instructions highlighted particular concerns about scammers, online gambling networks and transnational criminal groups posing as tourists while establishing operational bases in Thailand. Chonburi Immigration, led by Pol Col Napatpong Khositsuriyamanee and Pol Lt Col Kawinwat Arayasuriwong, subsequently deployed investigative teams across Pattaya and nearby areas.

Investigators later received information identifying a house in Soi Thung Klom Tanman 27 where a group of Indian nationals had congregated. Officers entered the premises and found the men working at desktop computers, several of whom attempted to flee before being detained. Nineteen were taken into custody, and a search of the computers indicated they were running admin operations for illegal online product sales while residing in a rented property close to Pattaya.

Passport checks showed that all had entered Thailand on tourist visas, with nine overstaying their permitted period. Officers seized 27 computers, 19 mobile phones and various internet connectivity devices as evidence. Authorities said the suspects were using the location as a base for unlawful work in violation of immigration and labour regulations.

The 19 men were charged with working without permission, while the nine overstayers faced additional charges for exceeding their authorised stay. All suspects, along with the confiscated equipment, were transferred to Nong Prue Police Station for further legal action. Immigration officials stated that visa revocation and deportation proceedings will follow in accordance with Thai law.

Key Takeaways

• Nineteen Indian nationals were arrested after a raid on a luxury house in Nong Prue linked to illegal online sales operations.

• Nine suspects were found to have overstayed their tourist visas, prompting additional charges.

• All detainees face prosecution, visa cancellation and eventual deportation under immigration law.

19 in the condo probably the smell gave them away unfortunatly this is what happens when people exploit the system

I'm pretty sure that if they check many of the Indian restaurants,  especially the groups of them thzt are three abreast,  they will find irregularities.  There is no way so many Indian places are doing enough business to make ends meet.

What about those Indian / Bangladeshy looking people who work in the dozens of Tailor shops around Pattaya   are they ALL legal, or do they make the Police Uniforms ++

Thailand  has a large community of ethnic Indians who have been in Thailand for 100+ years.

The touts you see in the shops are usually from Nepal or Myanmar and usually have work visas.

It's the people who are not visible to the public who do not have the work visas.

Please curry up and catch some more.
