In two separate knife attacks on December 14 in Phuket, a man and a woman sustained injuries. The incidents occurred early in the morning, with the first attack taking place around 3am near Coral Beach Bridge in Patong. A Myanmar national, 21-year-old Maung Maung Aye, was stabbed while sitting with friends and was later admitted to Patong Hospital with a wound to his rib cage.

Man Arrested for Theft to Help Son with Down’s Syndrome

A 39-year-old man named Thanathat was arrested in Bangkok for stealing a motorcycle belonging to a commando police officer in Nonthaburi province. The suspect claimed he committed the theft to raise money to care for his son, who has Down’s syndrome. Officers from Pak Kret Police Station seized the stolen white Honda MSX and the clothing Thanathat wore during the crime.
