The Five Big Lies of Vaccinology

The awful truth (and it is both awful and the truth) is that vaccinology is overwhelmingly a façade, constructed on a shaky foundation of lies.

In the wake of recent controversies, it is instructive to enumerate the five great lies propping up vaccinology (plus two Honorable Mentions).

In the process, we shall see how each Big Lie is interdependent upon others, and how the entire vaccine narrative depends upon this web of falsehoods. We shall see why vaccine zealots such as Peter Hotez and Paul Offit would refuse to attend the ACIP meeting – which they were invited to do – and in fact why they refuse to debate these points.

 

The reckoning that is taking place regarding the vaccine industry is overdue, but it is hardly unique.

There was a time within living memory when pre-frontal lobotomy was considered cutting edge medicine (pun intended). Its founder won the Nobel Prize for Medicine.  There was a time within living memory when physicians accepted corporate payment to convince the public that cigarette smoking was safe. There was a time – very recently – when mainstream medicine actively promoted OxyContin and other deadly narcotics as safe and minimally addictive. Hundreds of thousands died as a result.

The bloom is off the rose for the vaccine industry. It is long past time for its accounting. May we all open our minds, use our heads, and face the reality of this subject.

Last week I interviewed a leading virologist, Prof Zohet, about vaccines. 

 

Why is vaccinology research so important professor?

Because virology. vaccinology, immunology, and maybe a couple of other ',ologies' all rely on certain things to be true, or none of them/us would be taken at all seriously. And we might not get our grants, and could be out of work. So research is essential to prove our case. and, of course, help humanity.

What are vaccines for, and what are they supposed to do?

Well, the obvious answer is that they keep us fit and well.

How?

By protecting us from entities that are out to get us. Entities that give us disease and make us sick. Now, before saying how, we should move to the body; the immune system.

Immune system? What is that?

It's a natural body function that learns when a 'splash' of toxicity - as in the entities out to get us  - is encountered.

Encountered? 

A bit of the nasty is injected into the body.  This causes the whole learning process to start.

Learning process? 

Yes! The body learns, that if the entity is no good for the body, it will do two things. Initially, it will fight the injected entity. Hopefully repel it; overcome its toxicity; eliminate it, and all will be well. Secondly - and this is the magical bit of the whole process - it learns that the special, purpose-made fighting elements, that were utilised to fight off the little bit of syringe toxicity, will be of great use. If the next 'splash' turns out to be a waterfall.

Waterfall? 

The real daddy! It will then immediately recognise the natural invader, and be able to produce tons of these elements to repel, and render the naughty enemy impotent; and all will be good.

What are these elements?

They are called antibodies. Special proteins that are made within the body.

Do antibodies have specific functions?

They are specific to whatever entity they are trying to eliminate. So an antibody that might block or nullify a flu entity, is different to that of a polio antibody.  

How does the body 'remember'?

The body creates very specific cells. We can call them memory 'T' and 'B'. They remember the bad germs, and instruct the body what antibodies are needed to be mobilised to fight them. This essentially is how the immune system works. And is the basis of vaccinology and immunology.

I've researched antibodies, and found them not to be as specific as it is thought.

Lets move along. I've got better things to do with my valuable time than answer 4th grade questions.

OK! Sorry! What are the nasties out there, trying to get us?

Basically germs.

Germs?

The germs that vaccines are produced to ward off are called viruses. And they are everywhere.

Are there many different viruses?

Many! Although because they can adapt, and change, when they think they are not potent enough. They are difficult to count. We call these viruses; variants.

Are there many variants?

There could be an infinite number. We just don't yet know the full picture. There are perhaps as many virons, as there are grains of sand on the earth. My fellow virologists reckon that they have a handle on around 2,000. And of those, about 200 are to be taken really seriously. 

Really seriously?

Yes! These are the ones that are out to get us, and cause us serious harm.

Do the viruses change form?

Yes! They change form due to natural mutation. And, it is thought, also, that they change because they wish to become more effective in creating disease and havoc in humans and animals.

So, they can reason then?

Indeed. They are constantly trying to out-think our 'B' and 'T' cells. It's a battle of tiny minds.

Where are they found in nature?

They are to be found wherever there is greenery, and people, and animals gathering together.

Getting together? 

Yes! Supermarkets and football matches. In husbandry. On a crowded beach.

Anywhere else? 

A growing number seem to be present in computers also. And of course our very own petri-dishes.

Have viruses been shown to cause disease?

Not yet. But the mutations, we are trying to develop through Gain of Function experiments; show great promise.

Have viruses ever been found in nature?

Not yet, but we are working on it.

Why have virologists not been able to find them?

We don't waste out time looking for them. Better to create them, from scratch, in a petri-dish.

Why not get them from nature? 

We can't find enough.

What if you got 100 people with the same complaint.

Still not enough.

1000 people?

No! not enough?

10,000 people?
