Being an a55hole isn't a mental illness. It is a symptom of being a politician or public figure with a huge ego.

You're beyond reason.

There is a mountain of evidence about his mental disorder.

Trump is a sick and deranged old man.  He has done more to harm peace in the world than any other individual, other than the man he models himself after.

The number of U.S. military deaths per president varies significantly based on the wars and conflicts during their administrations. According to data compiled by The Hive Law, the highest number of military deaths occurred under President Franklin Roosevelt with 405,399 deaths, followed by Abraham Lincoln with 364,511 deaths, and Woodrow Wilson with 116,516 deaths.

For more recent presidents, Harry Truman oversaw 36,574 military deaths, Lyndon Johnson 34,910, and Richard Nixon 23,310. Among the 21st-century presidents, George W. Bush had 4,371 deaths in Iraq and 947 in Afghanistan during his tenure, totaling 5,318. Barack Obama presided over 2,474 military deaths, while George H. W. Bush saw 383 deaths during the Gulf War. Donald Trump's presidency (2017–2021) was marked by 45 combat deaths in Afghanistan, with a total of 65 hostile action deaths over his four years in office.

Simple question: Do you think that Trump's remarks were appropriate? 'Yes' or 'No'?

I am not bothered about what anyone says .

The question is : What is the appropriate way to respond when someone dies .

*I go out onto the streets and celebrate when someone I don't like dies , BUT Trump should write about <removed> when someone dies "

As of December 16, 2025, President Donald Trump has declared a significant diplomatic breakthrough in the Middle East, marking the end of the two-year war between Israel and Hamas following the implementation of his 20-point Gaza peace plan. The agreement, signed on October 9, 2025, in Egypt, secured the release of all remaining hostages and initiated a ceasefire, with Israel withdrawing its troops to an agreed-upon line. This achievement, hailed by world leaders and described as Trump’s signature accomplishment of his second term, is seen as a major shift from previous diplomatic efforts, particularly those of his predecessor, Joe Biden.

The first phase of the peace plan was confirmed by both Israel and Hamas, with all 48 remaining hostages—both living and deceased—released in exchange for the release of 2,000 Palestinian prisoners, including those serving life sentences

The mystery is how he still has ANY supporters.

The mystery is why even his close family are not correcting him. He has no semblance of basic humanity. Surely someone close to him, obviously not Melania, loves him and can see he is failing by the day.  The nation won't last another three years of this.

QED.

You just proved my point. You are either unwilling or unable to bring yourself to criticise Trump because "he's one of your own".

Maybe take a look at @tai4de2 comment halfway down page 5. It's proof that it is possible to be both a MAGA supporter and condemn Trump in this instance. They are not mutually exclusive positions.

What does condemning achieve?

Speaking on her online show Mary Trump Live, the clinical psychologist - who is ostracized from the Trump family - said everyone is paying for her uncle’s craving for validation.

“The one thing Donald most desperately needs and has never gotten and will never get, because of how damaged and depraved his own father made him, is love,” she said.

That is why he needs more of anything else. Thinking that that will fill the void. More money, more power, a bigger ballroom, more fake medals and fake prizes and fake honors.”

President Trump’s recent award of the first FIFA peace prize by the organization’s President Gianni Infantino was also proof, Mary Trump said, that her uncle was “thirsty” for recognition. Mary Trump argued the award was “completely made up” and was given to him because he “cannot get the Nobel Peace Prize, which he so desperately craves”.

She claimed her uncle, deep down, knew these external sources of validation did not compromise the love he craved.

“Nothing, nothing can replace love. And in his most terrified moments, Donald knows it. And all of us are paying that price,” she said.

You do realise that you are just adding to the increasing large body of evidence supporting my original proposition i.e. "'Whataboutery' and the introduction of tangential topics: Another tactic by those who are unable and/or unwilling to deviate from the strict party line, usually found among those on the right."

And on other threads it's "just" right-wingers complaining.

Actually, I'll row back on my original comment. The condemning of Trump's remarks - especially by his supporters - does indicate an underlying decency on their part.

Just a shame that there appear to be so few of them on AN.

I get on very well with @transam so, at the risk of being presumptuous, I'm sure that he won't mind me using one of his phrases.

Anyway, enough please. I have more than enough evidence to support my proposition.
