Cyber police have dismantled a YouTube-based illegal firearms operation, arresting a 54-year-old man accused of selling modified high-pressure air rifles nationwide. The suspect allegedly ran the business for more than two years, earning tens of thousands of baht each month through online orders. Police seized multiple modified weapons, ammunition and gun components during a court-authorised raid.

The operation took place on 23 December 2025, when officers from the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) searched a house in Takhli district, Nakhon Sawan province. The suspect, Mr Anucha Inthrawut, was arrested at his home on Mit Samphan Road under a warrant issued by the Nakhon Sawan Provincial Court. Authorities said the weapons could cause serious injury or death if used on vital parts of the body.

Police said the investigation began after officers discovered a YouTube channel named “Long Lae Craft” allegedly promoting and selling unlicensed high-pressure PCP (Pre-Charged Pneumatic) air rifles. These weapons had been modified to fire lead pellets and were advertised online without legal permission. Investigators traced the channel back to Mr Anucha, who was identified as both the owner and the seller.

During the search, police seized two modified long-barrel PCP air rifles, two trigger assemblies, four long gun barrels, eight sound-suppression devices, 54 size number 2 lead pellets and 340 rounds of .22 calibre ammunition. Officers also confiscated additional gun parts used for assembly. All items were taken as evidence for prosecution.

Senior officers overseeing the operation included Pol Lt Gen Surapol Prembutr, Commissioner of the TCSD, along with several high-ranking commanders and investigators. Police said the search warrant was issued under case number 453/2568. The arrest followed the collection of evidence confirming illegal manufacturing and sales activity.

During questioning, Mr Anucha reportedly confessed to assembling and selling the modified weapons online for more than two years. He told police he sold each gun for 16,500 baht, receiving orders averaging two to three guns per day. Police said he earned a profit of 2,000 to 3,000 baht per weapon, generating an estimated monthly income of 60,000 to 90,000 baht.

Mr Anucha now faces charges including manufacturing, assembling, modifying, possessing and selling firearms and ammunition for commercial purposes without a licence. Police said he also faces charges for unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. Legal proceedings are now under way in accordance with firearms laws.

Thaitabloid reported that authorities said cyber police will continue monitoring online platforms for illegal weapons sales. They warned that modified air guns pose serious public safety risks. Further investigations may follow to determine whether others were involved.
