Will EV's ruin the movie car chase?

Featured Replies

When one thinks of the throaty roar of Steve McQueen's Ford Mustang GT in the car chase in Bullit, or James Bond's Aston Martin in Goldfinger, or perhaps the Dodge Charger driven by Vin Diesel in Fast and Furious, the sound of the engines racing was all part of the atmosphere created around said car chases.

As we move into a world of EV's which mostly run silently, how do you think it will play out trying to create the same kind of atmosphere? I mean, a virtually silent car chase between two electric vehicles won't do much for a movie with just music playing over it, and adding fake ICE sound will look daft.

Have to wait till the future, as had good chase scene (?) in " I Robot " :cheesy:
