Kentucky's Thomas Massie fires back at Trump after being called a "lowlife" for pushing the Epstein Files Transparency Act. The congressman rallied supporters, turning Trump's insult into a fundraising boost against a Trump-backed challenger.

The spat highlights a growing rift. Massie co-authored the bipartisan bill demanding full disclosure of Epstein documents, defying Trump's dismissive comments about Congress's interest in the case.

On Christmas, Trump lashed out via Truth Social, labeling Massie as a rogue Republican. Massie, undeterred, responded on X, urging donations and defending his commitment to victims.

Within hours, support poured in, raising mre than $3,000 in the first 2 hours. Massie has long been a thorn in Trump's side, criticizing the administration's failure to ensure transparency on Epstein.

Massie's bill sailed through Congress, aiming for accountability akin to the consequences faced by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and former ambassador Peter Mandelson over Epstein ties.

Though the Justice Department missed the initial file-release deadline, they've since found over a million more documents. Processing could take weeks, sparking ongoing scrutiny.

Trump endorses Ed Gallrein against Massie in the GOP primary, but Massie remains resolute, labeling Gallrein as an "establishment hack."

Key Takeaways

  • Massie turns Trump's insult into a fundraising triumph.
  • Deepening GOP divide over transparency in Epstein case.
  • Massie challenges Trump-backed establishment candidate.

Epstein seems to be the equivalent of kryptonite for Don. And every time he pushes against the release, every time he pushes to have more files redacted, it seems to come back and haunt him. The problem with this guy is that he has no ability to improvise, and it's the same game day in and day out, so when that game's not working he's completely lost.

It looks as if Epstein is the final straw that started "The Dissent" within MAGA, and allowed both his supporters and members of Congress and the Senate to start showing some decency, rationality and reason, and pushing up back against this absolute depraved creep, who was very close to Epstein, and likely has more skeletons in his closet then a Papuan Highlander cannibal.
