The UN Security Council unanimously passed Resolution 1973 on March 17, 2011.

That’s the difference.

No of course it wasn't legal. It is manifestly not legal to bomb another country, fly in troops, assault the residence of that countries president (even if he is an absolute <deleted> - which he is), kidnap that president and take him away to put him on trial in another jurisdiction.

Trump knows that it is illegal but he doesn't give a fig about the law. He knows that it breaches the provisions of the constitution but he doesn't give a fig about the constitution, he knows that he should have had congressional approval but he doesn't give a fig about Congress.

Different situation and irrelevant regarding the legality now.

A more pertinent question would be How does this compare to Russia in Ukraine?

Here's my feelings. During the Democrat's state attorney general's various campaigns to use Lawfare to convict Trump of anything that would stick between 2020 and 2024, I was in Trump's corner as I detest Lawfare.

Now the US under Trump has kidnapped a leader of a sovereign foreign country and are making up nonsense charges with the intention of taking them to a US court and use Lawfare to make anything stick. I still detest Lawfare as well as using military force to kidnap a foreign leader - not for the first time.

Now, I expect the Democrats to take at least the House of Representatives in 2026 and possibly the Senate and Presidency in 2028. In the future when the Democrats go after Trump again with impeachments and Lawfare cases - well, so sad too bad. I hate double standards as badly as I hate Lawfare. The same legal system that is being used to create a kangaroo court to convict Muduro with any crime that will stick, will be used again against Trump - but this time I won't care.

You're assuming there will be a free and fair election. There won't be, there probably won't be any elections.

I'm afraid of this as well. In order to prevent this happening, he has to be stopped now.

Let’s remember this post.

You know this was a farce. They used NATO forces to attack a country that was not threat to NATO counties. This dumb idea gave Putin talking points against NATO.

Has been answered already.

Trump is now threatening Mexico.

Is he insane?

Yes 100% insane and should be locked up.

They acted under UN authority.

So let’s have some dumb nonsense to deflect from that fact.

Cuba has a massive right-wing electorate in Florida – they are votes he needs and have established an anti-Cuba lobby for years; they are very powerful and one of the few right-wing ethnic minorities. I'm sure Trump will have done a deal with them of some sort. Cuba gets all its oil from Venezuela, so they have effectively shut the country off. This will give the US a much bigger foothold in the Caribbean. Also worth bearing in mind that TRinidad and Tobago steal all the oil in their wells, which comes from Venezuela – doubt if Trump will allow that to continue, as it's HIS oil now.

Where Lee Harvey Oswald shined his spurs.
