Why not renew pp.

The 6 months you mention is validity of pp to enter many countries.

Yes think it might be a year and got until May 2029 so a long time yet thanks anyway

Recommend renew your pp anytime with less than year validity.

Note: some reports that UK pp renewal taking time along with issues.

FWIW: My most recent Oz pp process time was 20 days including postal delivery etc

My UK passport renewal November at VFS Bangkok took 2 weeks, so previous reported issues seem to be resolved
