Police Region 2, working with Chonburi Provincial Public Health Office officials, have raided an unlicensed beauty clinic in central Pattaya and arrested those involved after discovering Botox injections being administered by an unqualified individual. The operation immediately halted cosmetic procedures at the premises and led to multiple criminal charges being filed.

The inspection was carried out at a four-storey, two-unit commercial building operating as a beauty clinic at 245/133–134 Pattaya Third Road. Officers found the clinic operating openly with designated areas for client reception, medicine storage and treatment rooms. During the raid, authorities ordered an immediate stop to all activities after confirming suspected illegal practices.

The operation was ordered by Pol Maj Gen Kiatthisak Sratongoi, commander of the Investigation Division of Provincial Police Region 2. The inspection team was led by Pol Col Tianchai Lertmanitawithsap, superintendent of Investigation Unit 1, together with Mr Jirasan Meeratthanawat, head of the Consumer Protection and Public Health Pharmacy Group at the Chonburi Provincial Public Health Office. The action followed intelligence indicating the clinic was operating illegally and providing unauthorised beauty treatments.

Inside the treatment room, officers found three staff members present. Two individuals wearing pink uniforms were acting as assistants, while a third person wearing a green uniform was performing Botox injections. Officers immediately intervened and stopped the procedure for further inspection and questioning.

Ms Jarrayanit, aged 35, identified herself as the clinic owner. Ms Chalisa, aged 43, who was wearing the green uniform, was identified as the person administering the injections. Authorities confirmed that Ms Chalisa is not a licensed medical doctor and is not authorised to practise medicine in Thailand.

Police subsequently charged Ms Jarrayanit with operating a medical facility without permission and selling medicines without authorisation under the Drug Act. Ms Chalisa was charged with practising medicine without a licence, specifically for unlawfully acting as a doctor. Both suspects were handed over to investigators at Pattaya City Police Station for formal legal proceedings.

Officials from the Chonburi Provincial Public Health Office stated that the case highlights ongoing risks posed by unlicensed cosmetic clinics and unauthorised medical practices. Authorities reiterated that cosmetic injections must only be performed by licensed medical professionals at legally registered facilities to ensure public safety.

Matichon reported that police said investigations will continue to determine the source of the medicines used and whether additional offences or individuals are linked to the operation. Further inspections of similar establishments in Pattaya and surrounding areas are expected.

I am always wondering how it is possible to open a clinic without the needed papers and education. The Chamber of Commerce should check it and give permissions, but it seems everybody can open a business without anything... and it doesn't matter what kind of business or clinic.. Consumers need to be protected

Maybe it was initially opened with a licensed physician and that person is no longer is there.
