Two Indian nationals were arrested following a robbery in Las Piñas City on Friday. The suspects allegedly robbed another Indian national in Barangay Elias Aldana, taking a cell phone worth P73,000 and P10,000 in cash. Authorities managed to apprehend them through the GPS tracking feature of the stolen mobile phone.

This incident unfolded when police received a report of a holdup at a subdivision in the area. The suspects, aged 27 and 33, were quickly tracked and arrested, leading to the recovery of the stolen cell phone, a motorcycle, helmets, and a distinctive red jacket purportedly used during the crime. The swift actions by law enforcement highlight the use of technology in solving crimes effectively.

Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., acting chief of the Philippine National Police, emphasized that criminal activities will not be tolerated, highlighting the commitment to enforce laws regardless of the offenders' nationality. The victim identified the suspects, who were then taken to the Las Piñas police station for inquest proceedings, underscoring the police's dedication to maintaining public safety and justice.

Looking forward, the case will proceed to inquest, where charges may be filed against the suspects. This incident could lead to further discussions on the safety of foreign nationals in the area and the effectiveness of police response. Continued vigilance and cooperation between communities and law enforcement are expected to enhance security measures, reported Philstar.
