Board of Peace: Political Initiative or Trump's Piggy Bank?

I attach the full text of the Charter of the Board of Peace, as submitted to the governments invited by the President of the United States to participate. The text consists of 7 pages written in basic English suitable for an international audience.

Below, however, I report what I consider to be the most significant articles of the Charter. They contain provisions that can be summarized as follows:

  1. Enormous and unusual powers are conferred on the Chairman, particularly with regard to the use of funds made available by the Board of Peace.

  2. Donald J. Trump will not only be the inaugural president, but he will also have the sole power to appoint his successor at his sole discretion, making the title effectively hereditary.

  1. The Chairman has veto power on any decision of the Executive Board and cannot be legally removed.

  2. The Chairman exercises exclusive power to control and audit himself and his actions.

  3. The Board of Peace shall have internationally recognized legal personality and its personell and subsidiaries shall benefit of the "necessary" immunities. Diplomatic immunity prevents the host country (where the personnel is posted) from exercising criminal or civil jurisdiction over them.

As Chairman of the Board of Peace, Donald J. Trump will have the right to travel anywhere in the world as a head of state for his entire life, and at the Board's expense. He asks to enjoy immunity for himself (for life) and for his collaborators.

He has the right to pass these privileges on to anyone, at his sole discretion, in a hereditary manner, comparable only to the inheritance of medieval noble titles.

As Chairman, Donald J. Trump will have near-absolute power to invite or remove any country from the Board of Peace, including the United States of America.

It will be impossible for anyone, including the President of the United States of America, to remove Donald J. Trump as Chairman of the Board of Peace.

What is astonishing is that apparently no one in the United States, neither Congress nor the political parties, has opposed such an abhorrent use of presidential power.

As already mentioned, below are the most significant articles or excerpts. My comments are in italics. The full text of the Charter is contained in the attached video.

Chapter II - Termination

Membership in the Board of Peace is limited to States invited to participate by the Chairman. Each Member State shall serve a term of no more than three years from this Charter’s entry into force, subject to renewal by the Chairman, unless the Member State contributes more than USD $1,000,000,000. In this instance membership is for life.

However, the Chairman has the right to terminate a member, subject to a veto by a two-thirds majority of Member States.

Chapter III - Governance

The Board of Peace shall vote on all proposals on its agenda, including with respect to the annual budgets, the establishment of subsidiary entities, the appointment of senior executive officers, and major policy determinations, such as the approval of international agreements and the pursuit of new peace-building initiatives.

Decisions shall be made by a majority of the Member States present and voting, subject to the approval of the Chairman, who may also cast a vote in his capacity as Chairman in the event of a tie.

Donald J. Trump shall serve as inaugural Chairman of the Board of Peace, and he shall separately serve as inaugural representative of the United States of America, subject only to the provisions of Chapter III.

The Chairman shall have exclusive authority to create, modify, or dissolve subsidiary entities as necessary or appropriate to fulfill the Board of Peace’s mission.

The Chairman shall at all times designate a successor for the role of Chairman. Replacement of the Chairman may occur only following voluntary resignation or as a result of incapacity, as determined by a unanimous vote of the Executive Board, at which time the Chairman’s designated successor shall immediately assume the position of the Chairman and all associated duties and authorities of the Chairman.

Chapter IV – The Executive Board

The Executive Board shall be selected by the Chairman and consist of leaders of global stature.

Members of the Executive Board shall serve two-year terms, subject to removal by the Chairman and renewable at his discretion.

Decisions of the Executive Board shall be made by a majority of its members present and voting, including the Chief Executive. Such decisions shall go into effect immediately, subject to veto by the Chairman at any time thereafter.

Here is a real Catch-22. An incapacitated Chairman may be replaced by a unanimous decision of the Executive Board. But that decision is subject to veto by the very “incapacitated” Chairman himself. In other words, only when dead can the Chairman be replaced.

Chapter V – Funding

The Executive Board shall authorize the institution of controls and oversight mechanisms with respect to budgets, financial accounts, and disbursements, as necessary or appropriate to ensure their integrity.

It is worth remembering that any decision of the Executive Board is subject to the Chairman's veto

Chapter VI – Legal Status

The Board of Peace and its subsidiary entities possess international legal personality.

They shall have such legal capacity as may be necessary to the pursuit of their mission (including, but not limited to, the capacity to enter into contracts, acquire and dispose of immovable and movable property, institute legal proceedings, open bank accounts, receive and disburse private and public funds, and employ staff).

The Board of Peace shall ensure the provision of such privileges and immunities as are necessary for the exercise of the functions of the Board of Peace and its subsidiary entities and personnel, to be established in agreements with the States in which the Board of Peace and its subsidiary entities operate or through such other measures as may be taken by those States consistent with their domestic legal requirements.

Chapter VII – Interpretation and Dispute Resolution

Internal disputes between and among Board of Peace Members, entities, and personnel with respect to matters related to the Board of Peace should be resolved through amicable collaboration, consistent with the organizational authorities established by the Charter, and for such purposes, the Chairman is the final authority regarding the meaning, interpretation, and application of this Charter.

Chapter VIII – Charter Amendments

Amendments to the Charter may be proposed by the Executive Board or at least one-third of the Member States of the Board of Peace acting together.

Amendments to Chapters II, III, IV, V, VIII, and X require unanimous approval of the Board of Peace and confirmation by the Chairman.

Chapter IX – Resolutions or Other Directives

The Chairman, acting on behalf of the Board of Peace, is authorized to adopt resolutions or other directives, consistent with this Charter, to implement the Board of Peace’s mission.

This amounts to an unlimited pre-authorization to act on behalf of the Board of Peace.

Chapter X – Duration, Dissolution and Transition

The Board of Peace shall dissolve at such time as the Chairman considers necessary or appropriate, or at the end of every odd-numbered calendar year, unless renewed by the Chairman no later than November 21 of such odd-numbered calendar year. The Executive Board shall provide for the rules and procedures with respect to the settling of all assets, liabilities, and obligations upon dissolution.

No surprises there. Its as if they read Animal Farm as a Dummies Guide before they came up with the idea.

All the more staggering is the op is not an opinion piece, but taken from the actual draft charter of the Board of Peace (BoP), an organization officially launched by Donald Trump in January 2026.

In Animal Farm: Napoleon is never just "Napoleon"; he is "Our Leader, Comrade Napoleon," and every success is credited to him.

In the BoP Charter: Donald J. Trump is the only person mentioned by name in the entire legal document. The institution is not built around an office (like "The President of the US") but around a specific human being.

While Animal Farm was a satire of Stalinism and the Soviet Union, it is a universal warning about Totalitarianism—where one person or group holds all the power, is above the law, and uses language to hide their control.

Because the Board of Peace charter creates a "Chairman for Life" who audits himself, chooses his own successor, and charges $1 billion for entry, it fits the "Orwellian" definition of a structure designed to look like a public service while functioning as a private kingdom.

It does beg the question as to WTF those other so called world leaders were doing sat on that stage listening to this? Are they all as mad as each other?
