When i was 20 my weight was 9st (126 lbs) and i was perfectly healthy. But yes the rest of him sounds a mess.

It is, the publisher is MSN, the source is British. Stone is not a US measurement. And no, people in the UK can not seamlessly convert imperial to metric. Some can, but that would be the exception.

Exactly - The switchover from imperial to SI units started in the 1960's in the UK - I learnt both imperial measurements and metric when at school in the 1970's.

Fun fact - There are only 3 countries in the world where imperial units are still officially used. The USA is one, but what are the other 2?

(Hint - I have visited one of these countries many times, and when I asked a local how far it was to a certain famous monument, he replied "about 6 furlongs"!! )

Also - what's wrong with only eating one meal a day? That's what monks do and many other healthy people, (often including myself). IMHO, most yanks could do with only eating 1 meal a day :)

Americans don't use Imperial measures. Its a popular misconception. Imperial measures were formalised long after the Americans went their seperate ways. Americans use American customary units. Hence they have a strange gallon measure no one else uses.

This was due to commercial reasons: he had a world tour coming up, and the number crunchers had weighed up the costs and found it a no-brainer to pay and let the case go away rather than lose the revenue from the world tour, the stigma, and defence costs.

I know, as everyone does, he was weird, but the jury is out on whether he was an active paedophile.

A lot of people had a lot to gain financially by tarring him with this brush in the hopes of similar payouts.
