The "Anti-Technology Fraud" draft law aims to establish a robust legal framework to combat cyber-enabled crimes. Officials emphasized its priority status, designed to protect citizens and uphold the integrity of Cambodia’s growing digital economy. The new law aligns with the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, a treaty Cambodia has committed to, enhancing international cooperation to trace cybercriminal networks that operate globally.

The draft received unanimous agreement at the meeting and is now set to navigate through the legislative process for formal adoption.
