I would say almost definitely the extremely close nearby military base was intentionally targeted. It's known that the school building was part of the base and relatively recently separated by function. So yes the school could have been targeted accidentally (stupidly not having current information about the school) still seen as part of the military target or a near miss if it was known. I think missile deflection has already been ruled out. I don't see any logical motivation for targeting school girls. Just mindlessly saying Gaza Gaza Gaza is completely irrelevant.
