Pentagon Blasts Starmer Over Iran Strikes Snub

The White House-Pentagon machine turned its fire on Keir Starmer last night, accusing him of “hand-wringing” and “pearl-clutching” after he initially blocked US bombers from using British bases in strikes on Iran.

The row threatens to strain the Special Relationship at a moment of escalating Middle East conflict — with Washington openly voicing frustration at London’s legal caution.

Hegseth’s Broadside

US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth praised Israel’s role in the operation but mocked European hesitation.

“Capable partners are good partners,” he said, contrasting Israel’s decisiveness with allies who “wring their hands and clutch their pearls” over the use of force.

The remarks were widely interpreted as aimed squarely at Downing Street.

Trump ‘Very Disappointed’

President Donald Trump said he was “very disappointed in Keir” for taking “far too long” to lift restrictions on US aircraft operating from RAF Fairford and Diego Garcia.

Trump also criticised plans to hand sovereignty of Diego Garcia to Mauritius, calling it strategically vital.

Starmer later allowed limited use of British bases for strikes on Iranian missile launchers — but ruled out backing broader regime-change efforts.

Badenoch: ‘He’s Scared’

Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch accused Starmer of political cowardice, suggesting he was softening Britain’s stance to avoid alienating progressive and Muslim voters.

“It isn’t international law or principle,” she said. “It’s pure, partisan calculation.”

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage branded the Prime Minister’s stance “pathetic,” saying he “looks weak in the eyes of everybody.”

Law Versus Loyalty

Starmer insisted any military action must have a “lawful basis” and a “viable, thought-through plan,” invoking the shadow of the Iraq War — which he opposed in 2003.

Downing Street said his commitment to international law was “iron-clad,” even as tensions mount with Washington.

With Iran retaliating across the Gulf, 300,000 Britons potentially at risk, and US strikes set to intensify, the political storm at home may only be beginning.

Poor Starmer. It's like he got the rent boy's boxers off and found a Virginia instead. He hasn't got a clue what to do.

Being blasted for not enjoining the UK to the Israeli/US illegal war on Iran.

The sickly Trump and wine-o Hegseth are helping Starmer win over the millions of British voters who want no part of this illegal war.

Badenoch and Farage are demonstrating they are eager to spill British blood and push away tax payer’s money in another illegal Middle East war.

Keir is too weak to make decisions. Has to be kicked out.

I'm not so sure. He sure doesn't mind the heat from screwing over his own populace and replacing them with low IQ denizens of the heathen lands.

TACOS to the left of me, TACOS to the right.

Ask the people instead of the politicians.

Which politicians would that be?

There does not seem to be any in the White House!

Was talking about the UK, Starmer opened the UK bases to the US. I guess that should be SACO...
