Hi there, late next month I am due to arrive in BKK from London. Since I have driver coming up from Jomtien, where should I advise him to meet me. The old Don Muang was a snip but in this new one, I may get a boy pushing the wheelchair who speaks little or no English, so it essential I have a specific rendezvous point. I do not want to end up flopping all over the place on my crutches with baggage for a 6 months stay. Being rather impoverished, I certainly don’t want to hook up with the horror stories I’ve heard about the limousine mafia scams at Suvarnabhumi airport! Any and all advice greatly appreciated. :o

Any time my aged mother came here to visit me, she insisted on wheelchair service from Belfast right through to BKK (using B. Midland & B. Airways). She has never had any problems, and the guy pushing her out to the arrivals area seemed cheery enough. My mum insisted on giving him a tip for his troubles.

So, I suppose, arrange a chair service from your airline, smile a lot, chit-chat to the pusher (wheelchair, that is!!) and arrange to meet your Jomtien driver at either international arrival gate B or C as that is where you'll exit.
